yes but that's my point,I wasn't knocking it and conceded that it's still a good number but outside of Mayweather and Cotto his pay per views take a hit and why because of the soft match ups,Canelo has far more than 250-300k fans right?well You'd of thought with bigger match ups than Smith would of done even better for Canelo though I concede here I could be wrong as making a more competitive match up for Canelo doesn't nessacerilly mean a big name worthy of selling more pay per views,I heard today from Boxing Ego how a fight with one of those 154 top guy who afre from Texas themselves would have done better though I'm not so sure.

So what are we talking about then re money,is ten million a good offer for Golovkin I mean as well as this fights been talked about does it mean big pay preview numbers cause if you narrow it down you've got the A side selling 300k and the b side in Golovkin doing 97k albeit on his first outing?hardly the stuff of a million plus sales is it,so going off that GBP may be right with the offer.
That said with the supposed fight not being talked about until next fall both teams are mad to nail down offers just yet,the good thing is they're negotiating which has to be good for both sides,unless Canelo can boiled down some more to get Manny Pac in the ring with him or a Mayweather re match all the other match ups at 154 and 160 are just a step up in class but not star power,I'm just glad that golden Boy has realised this,in the mean time Oscar in trying to look after Canelo has made a proud guy who's never ducked anyone look terrible,I'll bet Canelos fed up with Oscar by now.
