Floyd Mayweather declares himself greatest fighter of all time, ahead of Ali
"Talking about himself, he said: ‘He’s beat more world champions than any other fighter in a shorter time and less fights than any other fighter. Landed punches at the highest percentage and took less punishment. He’s been world champion 18 years in five different weight divisions.’

Mayweather said: ‘Ali – only one weight class and really lost to Ken Norton three times. What he did is he stood for a cause in an era when African Americans didn’t stand up for their people.’"
No 1 - Floyd Mayweather Jr - I'm the Best Ever
No 2 - Roberto Duran: ‘Came up from lightweight to world champion at 160lbs. Love that guy. A legend.’

No 3 - Pernell Whitaker: ‘Really, he beat Julio Cesar Chavez. (Chavez got the decision). And he did beat my uncle Roger Twice.’

No 4 - Julio Cesar Chavez: ‘Was 79-0 in different weight classes before he lost.’
No 5 - Muhammad Ali - Has 5 losses and fought in just one weight class

I never liked the champion argument in the modern era. There are so many champions. If there were as many belts back in their time as they are now I'm quite sure they would have beaten Mayweather out for most champs defeated.

Pac is 8 division world champion yes
But pac got dropped by marquez. Floyd schooled Marquez
Floyd also schooled Pacquiao, he barely landed any shots.
Pacquiao also has multiple losses
Pacquiao was also much younger during his fight against Mayweather

Thats true. A lot of the champions Mayweather beat would not be champions if there was only 1 champion per weight class. But still, its impressive and these are all top boxers

Calls himself TBE yet never once beat an ATG in their prime.

TOP 15 to 20 for me

Arturo Gatti?
Undefeated Ricky Hatton?
Undefeated Canelo Alvarez
A slightly aging Oscar (still close to prime)

he talks a lot of numbers but look at his fights. it shows a very, very cautious fighter who doesn't want to get hurt to really test his prowess against his opponents so that he is very, very defensive making his fights not inviting for reviews. he even needs to make all necessary advantages before getting in the ring. the only striking memory of him are his self destructing videos of cowardness in prolonging his fight with the midget that still forced his father to ask him during the fight why he is fighting scared. his illegal IV is the worst thing that he did and who knows what he had been doing since he was a protected cash cow.

I don't think being defensive and trying not to get hit would lower his ranking. He used to be very offensive but I think I read somewhere he injured his hands and thats why he started to become a more defensive boxer. All his knockouts were mostly during his early career.
what midget are you talking about, Pacquiao?
Pacquiao turned down $40 million that Floyd offered (that was a HUGE amount at the time). Too many people put the blame on Floyd and not Pacquiao. Both are at fault for delaying the fight

Only ODLH could be considered an ATG imo from those fighters, but he wasn't the force he once was.

The rest are HOF bound but remember he fought Hatton at 147, Canelo at 152 and Gatti was the weakest champion at 140 who had already been beaten a few times.

Floyd was a great fighter no doubt but not TBE.

Floyd's really turning up the heat on MA's legacy now that he's dead. Smart move from the classy operator.
