Why would they talk about it when it doesn't fit their agenda ? They are comparing tv ratings of a mexican fighter fighting in america where there's millions of Mexicans (and other latinos) and also his home country tv viewers. Then talk about a Kazak fighter's tv rating during a saturday afternoon, but no the replay at night, no mention of the UK ppv numbers, and no mention of Kazakhstan numbers either. Golovkin's fight are seen through 100 countries around the world but no mention of it.
Ugh... I didn't include the replay of GGG-Brook because I didn't include the replay of Canelo-Smith. The replay of Canelo-Smith got 9 million viewers 27 million > 1.4 million I can't find kazakhstan numbers, but kazakhstans population isn't even as much as canelo's viewers. It's only 17 mil. If you think GGG sold 500k PPV buys in the UK you know nothing about the business in boxing...
Boxing is a great sport, but these fans make this sport look like sh..! Compering numbers just because they are number and not letters... Some of you might have learning disabilities for no-reason of your own, but those who have no excuses - You are making boxing fans look bad, the dumbest sport fans ever! Mexican viewer in average have annual earnings of $19 000 per capita, average US salary is roughly $57 000 per capita. U can´t compare them because other one has over three times more purchasing power than the other. The difference between HBO numbers and free TV are also self-evident. Why these numbers are so interesting to you is a mystery, but stop now please.
Best way to compare would be to compare the numbers golovkin did in eastern Europe to the numbers canelo did in Mexico. Comparing the numbers canelo did in his home country in free t.v. to the numbers Golovkin did in a foreign country(to him) on a paid channel makes no sense. Obviously canelo is the bigger draw overrall, but at least try and present the numbers in a context which makes sense.
Must admit I find it odd,Canelos fans never seem to talk about what he's capable of in a boxing ring? I mean we get it,that Canelo is the A side is not in question is it?
Canelo's star power allows him to get away with things. His fans will pay to see him. To his fans it doesn't matter is he trashed a very prestigious belt to avoid GGG. Those who draw well on PPV can say when and where.
