So I've been reading a few articles here on ESB and on the forum that suggest that the 10 million is a flat fee, but it's not. In ODLH's own words at 4:10 he says there is ppv upside:

Likewise, the 10 million is a generous offer.

Canelo's biggest paydays were 5 million against Mayweather (who made 41.5 million) and 5 million against Cotto (who made 15 million).

The Cotto vs Canelo fight brought in 900,000 buys and $58 million in revenue. Both had already had established themselves as PPV stars, Cotto being the next biggest PPV star after Mayweather at the time. This was also Cotto's biggest pay day at $15 million, where as his next biggest pay days were $8 million against Mayweather and $7 million against Martinez.

Some of the articles are suggesting this fight bring in 2 million, 1 million buys, where as it'll probably be lucky to get 800,000 buys.

Canelo brings in about 300K buys on his own and GGG brought in about 150K buys against Lemieux. Canelo has had a few PPVs now and on average brings in about double or more than GGG had done in his sole PPV in the states. If GGG is getting 10 million plus ppv upside and Canelo gets a guaranteed 15-20 million then it's a fair deal.

Plus GGG is likely going to win this fight. If he doesn't take this fight then he's kissing goodbye at his only real chance at stardom. There are no other stars around his weight class to make big money unless he becomes the star. Take the money, win the fight, make some other pay days before retiring.

Plus, this isn't even the most important fight at the weight class. Canelo is a nobody at the weight; Jacobs and BJS are much more proven at middle weight. So fighting Canelo isn't even for middle weight supremacy, it's strictly for a pay day.

If rather not even hear about the back and forth about this fight. It's annoying. Makes me dislike the sport.

I prefer to focus on the more important and better quality fights

That's fine, I'm much more interested in the Ward vs Kovalev fight. I think whoever wins that fight should be considered top 1 or 2 p4p, however I can't escape the gravity of the news for the GGG vs Canelo fight. I also can't bullsh.. lies being spread about it. It's probably the least important p4p for the most amount of money in recent history.

Oscar is full of crap! He is a liar.................watch Oscar back out of the Golovkin fight once again, plus, Golovkin has a mandatory against Jacobs, however, if the WBA will allow him to step aside, then I am positive Golovkin wants this fight very badly and that fight would have already happened if El Pollo had not given up his title rather than fight Golovkin. Golovkin will knock El Pollo out, no doubt about that one..................

Well it's never gonna be as big as the Mayweather v Manny fight as both those guys were huge and had done so much and at their peak you could only see each guy being good enough to beat each other?
Canelo already has a loss against his name and some would argue he lost against Lara(not my view but hey)if Canelo truly wants this fight then it will get made its as simple as that, tell K2 they want the fight in May work out the numbers and sit down but let's not pretend to make a fight a year away?
I'm more interested in the possible Jacobs fight,I'm interested to know if anyone thinks Jacobs can win?

How many times do I need to state the facts; Golovkin is a NOBODY!

Canelo has a huge fan base, but even Canelo can only do so much when his opponents are nobodies like Liam Smith and Genna Golovkin. I expect the Canelo-Golovkin fight to do good attendance (Canelo's crowd), but PPV viewership in the 800,000 to 1.2M range.

These negotiations are taking far too long and it's all due to K2's over-inflated value of their nobody client (slave), there greed, and GBP being too soft on welfare queens.
GBP should let the negotiations fail because Canelo has many other options while Golovkin has very few with none being anywhere near the $10M GBP offer.

GBP should tell greedy K2 to take the offer or go back to the hell (Russia) from which they crawled out of.
