Guy could have just shut the **** up and continued fighting. Basically singly handedly destroyed his own career with nothing but his mouth, worse aided by his entire camp, including his family members who seemingly didn't care much either. A bunch of yes men nodding along as you anger off as many groups of people as you can, alienating people. Then the doping tests on top of that.

Guy is as big an ******* as I've ever seen in the sport, and I'm glad he won't have any more opportunities anytime soon, for anything.

He got respect initially after the win. Unfortunately he opened his big fat mouth and talked himself into a controversy over his views on homophobia and so the media then focused on that rather than his win. He only has himself to blame, if he spent more time fighting rather than causing controversy perhaps he'd be seen in a more favourable light.

Reality is he's too much of a wildcard for any media to ever pay him much attention. You'll never see him on a chat show, or see a complete interview on the news because most of what he says wouldn't be allowed to be aired.

And even despite his views and the rants about Jews, women's place and homophobia he was still nominated for sports personality of the year. So he got his dues it's just a shame he'll be remembered more for being a joke rather than a fighter.

Fury got enough respect for his achievement: He beat an aging ATG in one of the most boring HW fights in the history of the sport. What does he expect for that? It takes a bit more to win over people's hearts.

His team did NOT handle him well after the fight. They knew he was mentally instable, they needed to hold him on a tight leash, instead they had him travel to France doing Jaeger bombs with British football fans. You can't let an imbecile like Fury roam around freely, he will mentally dig himself into a huge black hole he won't ever climb out of.

Fury might be a sideshow, but beat the guy who nobody else has been able to beat for 11 years!

He got enough respect in the sport but he will never be a cross over star. AJ could go mainstream cause he has a cleaner image. You cant behave like Tyson fury and expect to be a national favourite. I'm sure he doesn't give a **** about that anyways

The sad thing is he does. That's why he's always bleating on about how unfair it is that the general public think he's a ****. He takes no responsibility for acting like one, he just cries racism whilst being one of the most discriminatory mf'ers around. It's beyond a joke.

The ironic thing is Fury always kept telling us he doesn't care what the media writes, how he doesn't care what people think about him. How he couldn't give a flying f if someone gets offended by what he says.

Now Peter Fury tells us Tyson Fury was devastated by how the public didn't give him any respect LMAO. These guys are such dumb idiots its unbelievable.

Just because Buster Douglas beat Tyson, it doesn't make him an ATG or great in any respect. Like Buster, Fury could have just been at the right place at the right time. And actually being bigger and longer than Wlad helped too I'm sure. All he's doing now is soiling his image more and more the longer he continues to act the fool while all the world is watching. The world was his oyster but now its just taken a dump on his head instead. smh

What we do know is nobody beat Wlad since 2004 and he hasn't fought since Fury beat him because Fury keeps delaying the fight.

This makes it nothing more than guesswork on your part that Fury was simply in the right place at the right time as far as Wlad's career goes when he beat him.

I think there's more do it than we're aware. Maybe it's the doping allegations.
