Nobody agrees with Floyd that he's TBE except maybe MVC!.. I think most people who like or dislike Floyd would likely agree he's the best fighter of this era, but there are past greats who rank higher than Floyd in the ATG lists. And there's nothing wrong with that.

That's a fair assessment. Floyd bores the pants off me but he's got talent, that cannot be denied.

Defining "TBE", as "The Best Of Era" is totally true, but greater than Ali can only come from the lips of a crack baby.

    You're right
TBE stands for the best ever, which he is not. But everyone claims to be the best. not just boxing, but in pretty much everything else. Even Drake and Lil wayne claim to be the best rappers

I believe floyd is the smartest boxer of all time. Boxing to him is like a business, he does exactly what he needs to do to get the W, nothing more nothing less. He also doesn't believe in taking punishment hence him becoming a defensive genius, Some people look at this as being scared to take shots etc, This is pure genius in my book, why anybody would want to take punishment in my books is completely ******ed. Just look at all the punch drunk boxers who were all ATG's who took unnecessary punishment because they liked to get into war's and be billy big balls, weather they got the better of the opponent or not wanting to be billy big balls resulted in them taking unnecessary punishment. Floyd is nearly 40 with 100% of all his faculties still looking like hes in his 20's.

He might not be the best fighter when it comes to wars and having to dig deep and bit down on the gum shield and trade. Hes too smart to let it get to that. When have you ever seen this man frustrated throwing wild shots leaving him self open etc. People love to see those kind of brawls and say hes got epic heart, well floyd has epic smarts. I honestly believes hes so ahead of his time he won't truly be appreciated long until after hes gone.

    agreed
Thats why some boxers who retire are disabled or have Parkinsons disease. some also have faces filled with scars
Floyd at 40 is still looking Pretty like when he was PBF. Doesnt look a day over 30 and is set to live a comfortable retirement
    What a legend

Well if you look at only boxing skill and only what has happened in the ring. Forget everything outside of this ring. The longer Floyd remains retired the more I come to realise that I will never see anyone like that man step into a ring ever again.
Is he the greatest boxer of all time? Quite possibly! I think he may well be.
The best defence I have ever seen. Period!
Great attack when he fought people his own size.
Reflexes and athleticism that were out of this world.
On the rare occasions he did get caught then we would see his iron chin in action.
    Unbeaten.
Yes he did cherry pick to some extent but I think that was more to do with business than afraid of losing. Apart from when he didn't fight PAC at his peak, I honestly think he was afraid of him at that point, however I do believe he was juiced to his balls. Anyway I'm going off point here.
I think Floyd is in the top 3 boxers that ever lived and ever walked this planet.

Hatton not and ATG, Alvarez remains to be seen if he will be an ATG... Oscar most defiantly...... Gatti maybe due to the fact he was ultra exciting but skill and accomplishments ....no

There's no such thing as the best ever, you can ONLY be the best of your era, which he was far and away.

Nobody can match his career accomplishments which is funny, because that's all this place cares about UNLESS it goes against their agenda.

Fmj has the best case for that claim, and there is NO SUCH thing as this mythical atg rankings. It's 100% subjective, there is no right or wrong lists.

Hate to break it to you, it's only people's opinions. And nobody and I mean nobody has an opinion on boxing that matters more than mine.

Some can be just stupid and claim their favorite is the best but only a very select couple could even make arguments for themselves.

Fmj is the greatest to date for me, never seen anyone even half (50%) as dominant, his dominance should have been scientifically impossible, now that's true greatness
