You think Matchroom are cashing out PPV cash-cow AJ not even half-way through his career? lol More likely they see Klitschko on the slide after his loss to Fury and are taking a calculated gamble. And as for Parker... please! He's decent but an easy night's work for Joshua in my view. As for sparring. That's no surprise. A prime Klitschko would easily handle the AJ of 2016, so of course he's going to have dealt with the AJ of two year's ago. That means little as of now because Klitschko got old overnight against Fury.
He's been made a fool of because he is mandatory for the IBF and Joshua was given until the 9th January to honour it. That is thrown out now, because there is no way Joshua can fight at the end of November in such a big fight and then be ready to fight Parker in Jan. The plan was for Parker to put a clinic on Dimetrenko on 1st Oct and then fight Joshua in November or December. Parker could fight twice in 2 months, because he knows he will walk through D, without breaking too much of a sweat and is use to staying active. So he was waiting on Hearns to confirm the date, now they disregard their wishes and decide to begin talks with Klitschko. If that's not being messed around then tell me what is.
Parker wants no part of Joshua. Him and his team saw an opportunity to win the WBO belt off Ruiz Jr and they grabbed it with both hands. Beating AJ >>> Vacant title fight against a nobody. Parker has no ballz.
So why has Parker in the last 6 months been begging aj to set a time and date while hearings has been stalling to announce an opponent for Nov 26th while he's been begging every cripple under the sun to fight aj?
Parker was meant to fight AJ after he beat Tackam. After going life and death with him , he realised he needed more time. He took a bum fight. Then still wanted another tune-up. Now he wants to go a different route.
That's a bit harsh, Parker is still young and learning, and if he wants to build up the fight with Joshua it's good for both of them. Furthermore, it seems that Joshua also views fighting Parker as a bit of a risk. He could have easily made the match for Nov. 26 but chose to see if Klitschko was available instead. I don't see how either Joshua or Parker can be blamed at this stage. The fight will happen sooner or later.
You are being silly. Parker was ready and willing to fight for the IBF. Before Charles martin stole the belt and gifted it to AJ, Parker was calling out Joshua for an eliminator, but joshua and his team would have nothing of it. He's taken this fight with the bum to stay active because his team suspected matchroom were going to **** around. If klitschko didn't offer them the deal, they'd still be begging to fight a drugged up acne riddled sick Hughie Fury instead of honouring their part of the bargain and offering parker his right to fight that beltnapper.
The more AJ progresses , the worse it will be for Parker. Both of them are on the same level right now. If Parker has no interest , he should never have occupied his position as #1 mandatory challenger. Other guys are ready to go. Pulev for example.
The interest was there (and is still there), but the team is also looking at another opportunity. I personally don't see the problem with that, and if you do, you're a muppet. Who in their right mind wouldn't look at this chance? Hearn and AJ would do if they were in Parker's position. The thing is, Duco all along said their plan was to get Parker into the top 10 of each alphabet, so they could decide as things eventuate, on which belt to target. They have now the option to go IBF, by waiting to see if AJ or Klit wins, or wait until the deadline happens so AJ has to fight Parker..... or fight for the chance of a title now against Ruiz through the WBO. They are holding more cards than anyone else without a belt currently, and credit to the planning of the promoters getting him to this point. As for "ducking", that is a weak call, Parker has never shyed away from looking at AJ for a fight. Hearn himself said Parker was the only one of the current group of potential fighters that is very keen. "Parker has big balls"as quoted by Hearn. The whole Fury fiasco has opened things up again, offering some good fights for us to watch. Let's just sit back and enjoy them.
Matchroom have no control over Joshua's mandated fight vs Parker. I don't respond much to casuals who haven't a clue what they are talking about. Come back in a few years.
Parker straight up bottled it. I suspected he would have done anyway. The guy is useless , is on borrowed time and the only muppet here is you. Duco are looking to cash out on Parker similar to how Martin cashed out. They've been putting his bum fights on PPV in NZ for 40 bucks trying to squeeze every dime out of him before he gets sparked out cold. Hearn and AJ see Parker as nothing but nuscience they have to brush off to the side , ill tell ya that for free.
I personally think Parker has more to work on than AJ has, e.g. defense, getting inside, counter-punching. Parker does certainly have interest in fighting Joshua, if Joshua's team had called it they'd be fighting on Nov. 26. It was Joshua's team who wanted to fight Klitschko first. Simply because Parker is now showing some interest in fighting for the WBO strap does not mean he doesn't want to fight Joshua. Pulev was offered the Nov 26 Joshua fight first and he turned it down.
