David Price is not considering domestic challenges and is still hoping to face Joseph Parker on November 26, says trainer Dave Coldwell. "If AJ fights Parker himself then that scuppers us fighting Parker. No disrespect to Dave Allen, but Price wants to fight world-level fighters and he wants to fight the mandatory challenger for a world title to earn the right to face AJ." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No David, I think you will find that you are British level yourself. Beating Audley Harrison doesn't make you world level. The two times he's stepped up he's been brutally KO'd. Price has no chin, none. And will be KO'd savagely by anyone with a half decent punch.
If AJ-Parker doesn't happen in November, Parker's team are talking about fighting Andy Ruiz for the vacant WBO title, that is ofcourse if things pan out that way. Either way Price more than likely doesn't get a shot at Parker or AJ, I like Price but he needs a decent win under his belt to get fights like these.
He has no chin, but managed to ko Joshua unconscious. His losses only come up against doped up opponents in Teper and thompson I don't rate Price that highly, but he deserves to be fighting good calibre opponents. A match between him and parker would test both fighters
Dave Allen is a glorified punchline bag. You would be better off travelling to David Price's gym, to watch him complete a workout which would be as equally as challenging.
I'm sure Dave Coldwell means well for pricey but another couple of fights before that level to prove its defencivly there, punching power there's no doubt he hits very hard Good luck to big David always seems a big sound man
Price needs to work on composing himself in the ring and mentally preparing his mind to take and absorbed power shots. He got too complacent and expected every fight to be a one way traffic steam roll from his side and then wasn't ready to deal with adversity because his ego became overplayed from beating cripples at the start of his career
I thought Allen was out of boxing for a while due to depression? If it did go ahead it would be one sided Price would just stay at range landing.Allen is a brave kid and durable as hell. For Price he is just rolling the dice talking up a fight, normal HW stuff not delusional at all he doesn't warrant a shot but when has that stopped anything,he wants the big money fight against AJ and I don't blame him even if it means getting quickly ko'd which is what will happen.
Hearn wouldn't dare put Price in with AJ as it would risk a backlash from the paying public when David gets stretchered out in the 1st round following an AJ jab. He's more chinney then Jimmy Hill / infact Jimmy probably took a punch better then the Liverpool plumber.
