Well Floyd was the best, everybody wanted a crack at him for a chance to say they were the ones to beat him.. big names still had to make concessions.. And Canelo is in that spot right now, where everybody wants that payday, even the people who say the belts matter more than the money, like how GGG says... if that were true, why is he not satisfied with holding the WBC title? He's now chasing Canelo for the payday.. lol

And if Canelo were to beat Saunders and get that strap, he'd had taken out the second best career MW in the division. Then if that happens, GGG might have to take less.. agree in principle or sign a contract that states that's the money he'll get, that way they're comfortable enough to not worry about if Canelo picks up that WBO STRAP that things might change. You know?

Yep I agree....no way they will take 10 Million if you agree it's enough or not....so Fan's miss out...this is exactly what's wrong with Boxing now to many Fighters with inflated Ego's.!!!

Well i guess we should all be pushing for GGG to move up 2 divisions like Brook did, and take less money to get spanked by Ward, but I guess the consensus of Goons would be against that...

Yeah I think Lemieux would give both Lara and Canelo a real Fight...50/50 for Me...plenty will agree and plenty wil disagree.....Big chance of Canelo V Lemieux happening with what's happening with GGG V Canelo Negotiations.!!!

Why not get BJS belt next....one thing I notice about Golovkin He is not a huge Middleweight seems to hang around 164 mark all the time....don't think he has to move up while he is comfortable at 160...

Canelo still has to fight a MW at the full fledged limit of 160. If GGG-JACOBS doesn't materialize for whatever reasons, then I'd like to see GGG fight Lara. They need to fight common opponents here.

He walks around 164? I doubt it, he looked gaunt and looked like he struggled to make weight for Brook. It's getting harder and harder for him to make weight comfortably now days, you can tell. 3 or 4 more fights and I'd bet he'd move up to 168.

It's at least year away for f*ck's sake :drooling:

care to tell me who's accepted such a offer when a fight is literally at least a year away?

That's exactly what they were. A bunch of fanboys who kissed each others ass so much they left permanent lip marks on their bottoms. I doubt any of them at the time were even old enough to buy a pint, even in the UK!

It's essentially a non-offer. it's made to give the impression of good faith negotiating and wanting the fight, but in reality, it's more akin to pricing yourself out of a fight to avoid it.

The Joke was...gave up the belt and comes out with the Comment we made an offer to Golovkin's Team to save face....knowing the Offer was a joke and never going to be taken...Might fool a few that don't know better but real Boxing fan's would see through this very Quickly.....It's a Duck pure and simple.!!!!
