Parker showing decent power in there tonight. Joshua may be better off taking the easier Klitschko fight now.
Maybe by the letter of the law but we all know Dimitrenko was acting he was hurt in the hope that he could get Parker DQ because he certainly didn't have the heart to fight him. Don't think this fight really told us anything new about Parker because of how awful Dimitrenko is.
Far from an ideal ending, but Parker proved yet again he is a force to be reckoned with. Underrate him at your peril.
Guys saying Dimitrenko is nothing need to watch his fight with Pulev. Pulev won convincingly but if you watch that in context of things you might start seeing that Parkers defense is there and effective, and his hand speed and power is real. Why is this thread in British boxing?
Potential opponent for AJ and his progress is of interest to the British Boxing Fans. Is there a New Zealand forum that I should have posted on mate?
Nah but I assumed it would just go in general boxing discussion, only found this thread as I was looking for discussion on Joshua's next fight
Bottom line is Parker is very good at knocking guys out. A very handy habit for any boxer. As far as Dimitrenko goes, Parker fought him because he needed to fight a monster size opponent in preparation for fighting the bigger body guys holding the titles. Some posters seem to be conveniently forgetting Dimitrenko had only been stopped once in 40 fights, and that was a late stoppage. Parker just blew Dimitrenko away. Something all his other 40 opponents failed to do.
