At this stage it has to be Fury.

Shoots his load and loses a guaranteed £6 million pay day because he would rather get drunk and snort a few lines.

What a mug and what a joke.

How many people do you know who would miss out on £6 million like that?

His career is now most likely over as well.

People are missing the full picture on Fury.
    Think about it.

He may well have lost to Wlad if the fight had gone through this month, even if he was in shape. Wlad's a difficult fight.

People say he lost out on £6 million. (Assuming BoxNation/FW/Hennessey can do that and don't bankrupt.)

It might well be the case that he comes back next year and is paid more money for an easier fight.
He might come back in 3 years time and make £100 million for 2 or 3 fights.

I would agree with what you said for a fighter who was dedicated and mentally stable.

    Fury is neither.

In fact I doubt we will see Fury in the ring again. Unless its some comeback fight in which is only in the ring to take a fall and collect an easy few hundred thousands, for being a name on a record.

Just think that in 6 months time, Fury will have been out of the ring for 18 months...that is a long time for someone who is hardly dedicated at all to living the life and prone to ballooning up in weight.

Your two biggest british jokes in boxing are both world title holders. One of them beating a guy that was undefeated in ten years or something like that. No one could even give a competetive fight to.

Furys maybe fell off the top atm but no ones getting to where these guys are without dedication and hard work. Their dedicating their lifes to boxing as soon as things go wrong we re all on here to criticise. We should be behind these boxers in the good times as well as bad. Hes been done for cocaine is it really as big a deal as people are making it out to be. Lets not kid ourselves on tysons had massive well documented depressional problems in the past it was only a matter of time before it came to something like this.

Yeah, I know, and I can even see this going the Naseem Hamed / Scott Harrison route, or something not too dissimilar.
    And I hope not.

But at the moment, we can't say for sure.

Fury's already shown a couple of times in his career that he can dedicate and re-dedicate.
So I'm not ready to write him off just yet.
It's only been 10 months since he dethroned Wladimir, and while it's disappointing and harmful what he's been up to since, it's not enough for me to say he's finished yet.

This is a good balanced post.
    I agree.

He's messed up a bit, but it's far from the catastrophe the media and internet gossip wants to make it out or predict it to be.
It's what he does in the next 6 to 12 months or so that will matter more.

Exactly right mate. Its a highly pressurised sport at the end of the day some times it can get the better of people. Especially someone thats already been struggling mentally. As well as looking at the tragic death of towell the dundonian kid who died yesterday. If these guys arent 100 percent right they shouldnt be going in the ring.

The cocaine issues not even an issue for me. Sympathise with klitchko etc tho. His times running out he deserves his chance to regain the title. But you can see it from both sides knowing what furys like you could see his team thinking he ll be allright when the time comes etc. Only for it to not be allright when the time comes. Poor from fury but you could see how it could happen. Hope he gets well and gets back to fighting cause he makes that division even more interesting that it currently is atm. Should be stripped tho imo but give him an easy enough way back.

Not write him off? You're going much further than that being such a massive Fury apologist. Anyone would think you're part of the camp!

It shows a distinct lack of respect for men and women who climb through the ropes knowing that they could be about to pay the ultimate price and they do it for your satisfaction you ****ing moron.

Most of you ****ing imbeciles have never been to a show let alone step inside the ring.
