The current and amazing domination of the sport by the British is in olarge part down to the excitement and excellene these fine gentlemen brought to the sport over here. The greatest ever and the most exciting ever at their respective weights. I'll freely admit that Audley just fell short of this greatness, but he's great in his own way. Come and join me in paying your respects.
LL is top 3 best heavyweight boxer ever! Fun story, about 12 years ago I met up with some friends at a Vegas nightclub and they were at the same table as Lennox Lewis, I came with a girl and we were introduced to Lewis, Lewis gave the girl a hug and while he shook my hand he said "you don't want a hug, do you" with a smile, lol, I wanted to say "YES" so bad but declined. He seemed very cool and relaxed.
That old chestnut, while men are stealing American women daily, American women fawn over Henry Cavill, ( Superman) the cast of GoT, Christian Bale, Charlie Humnan, Gerrard Butler, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston.... the list really is endless as pretty much every top TV show and movie casts a British lead actor. Meanwhile American men are still trying to spread the teeth lie in order to grasp hold of the little self esteem they have left. Lennox Lewis greatest HW in history no doubt.
I underrated Lennox for a long time. Nasser was exciting but limited, imagine what he could of done if had more strings to his bow.
You should add Audley Harrison to that list. Yes I am serious. Going into the 2000 Olympics the GB boxing team had a target of one medal, if they did that boxing in the UK would get lottery funding. Lottery funding since then has definitely helped boxing in the UK, it's allowed our amateurs to train more like pro's. Was it a coincidence that the following year we won medals for the first time at the world championships with Froch and Haye? I think not.
Lennox was the GOAT. But he could sure stink out the joint Naz was exciting as hell but a piece of **** who Real British boxing legend Chris Eubank put the fear of God into
This is the annoying thing. He had all the athletic attributes but it's often the case that when you have that devastating power you rely on it too much.
Lennox Lewis was without doubt the best HW champ since Muhammad Ali One day some one came up to us all & said to Lennox " Do you think you could have beaten Ali" ? Lennox smiled & said " no way man Ali really is The Greatest He is my idol in & out of the ring" Great guy Great Champion Lennox
