The WBA Championships Committee notified both fighters on September 11 to inform them that they had 30 days to reach an agreement. Negotiations between the two parties end in six days, on October 12. However, Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions who is representing Golovkin, told the WBA that it is unlikely that the parties will reach an agreement before the deadline and recommended that the fight go to a purse bid.
The request is currently being evaluated by the WBA. Article 1, Section D of the WBA rules states that the boxers and their representatives, or the president of the WBA, can ask at any time during the negotiation process that a purse bid be offered to the public Such a request must be examined and approved by the Championships Committee. Jacobs’ lawyer Leon Margules asked the Championships Committee to reconsider the percentages in advance of the purse bid. According to the rules of the organization, Article 9, Section D orders that the percentages for the fight between a Super World and World champion are 75% and 25% respectively. However, the request made by Margules will be reviewed by the Championships Committee and its decision, as well as the time, date and place of the purse bid will be announced Friday.

its over. lets see who ready to rumble

now's the time to see if Jacobs is REALLY confident about winning, like he said after the Brook fight

it will be very interesting to see what happens,
    Does PBC win?
    Does HBO win ?

If Jacobs beats GGG, he s got a big money fight with Canelo, and for sure a lot of money waiting in UK if he brings all the titles to a BJS unification

does he believe he can win this fight, and gets filthy rich after this or is this his cash out fight ? whats his mindset right now

Of course Jacobs will duck. He has zero chance of beating Golovkin and risks taking a career altering knockout. He will leave that kiddy belt that doesn't mean anything anyway. With time, people will forget about the duck and all is well.

Also, don't get your hopes up about Canelo fight either, unless Golovkin shows age deterioration by end of 2017.

I half believe that Saunders might take the fight if he gets a retirement type of money.

Danny Jacobs presenting that trinket as a legitimate world title is beyond sad. Step up or step the duck off.
