Luis Ortiz vs. Carlos Takam confirmed for November 12th in Monaco

    Edit 10th October :
Or could Takam instead be fighting Duhaupas?

This is surprising. Isn't this a Matchroom card?

Ortiz resume starting to look much better than Wilders and Joshuas. If he beats Takam he should be ranked 3#.

Nice fight! I'm interested from a Parker fan perspective.

Is this just a stay busy fight for both of them as there can't be a ranking or belt on the line as Takam isn't ranked with the WBA?

Helluva potentially entertaining match, its a pity Takam will get KTFO so early.

Wow Takam keeps taking tough matches kudos. This fight just adds emphasis to how much a clown Wilder is. Ortiz is now in his last 3 fights fought Jennings, Thompson and Takam.
And Takam has Ortiz, Parker and a few fights ago Povetkin. As well as several other quality fights.
And neither guy even has a belt.
But Fraud Wilder does who fights against shot And undeserving Arreola.

Much respect to these two guys good fight

I'm not as big on this fight since the Parker match, but Takam's still better than what I was expecting them to get.

Good fight. I'd favour Ortiz though. Takam is another fighter that suits Ortiz's style and who will come to him. Ortiz it at his best when he can plant his feet and let his hands go and Takam will likely give Ortiz a chance to shine with his come forward style.

I would like to see how Ortiz does against a bigger heavyweight with some movement who will force him to chase and cut off the ring. While this is a good fight it doesn't really answer any questions of Ortiz on how he would deal with any of the title holders who are all bigger men.
