This is actually a better match for King Kong than Ustinov, which in all likelihood would have went the same way as the Pulev match, just shorter..

Very good fight. Possibly Ortiz' hardest opponent to date.
And also a clear indicator that he wasn't in the mix for one of the soon to be vacant belts.

    Phenomenal fight.

Much better than Ustinov, who was a waste of Ortiz's time.

Good fight and will certainly help us put into perspective where Ortiz and Parker are at the moment.

Whoever wants the WBA belt if it becomes vacant should have to go through Ortiz for it.

Hearn thinks he can just call up the WBA and get them to put the belt on the line for Joshua because he is man enough to fight Wlad. Thats not how it works.

Drugs cheat Ortiz continuing to pick up plenty of hype I see. I for one, hope that Takam takes him out. He deserves a good run IMO.

Nice fight!!! Respect to both guys for taking this and to be honest I thought Ortiz was kind of a lazy guy, but maybe he finally realized he has to stay active if he really wants to get a proper title shot.

I can tell you where they are, Ortiz would school Parker, Parker has fast hands **** footwork and defense. Parker showed good chin vs Takam but i can see Ortiz stopping him(if they fought).

This is a great fight, but I am wondering whether Ortiz should have fought Ustinov instead. A win against Ustinov would have granted him a fight against Wlad. A win against Takam will put him in the top5 at WBC and IBF. Wilder will never fight him and Joshua will not have to fight for quite a while.

In terms of getting a mandatory shot it does seem like a step backwards. Beating Ustinov would of guaranteed him a shot inside of a year or so now he'll need to work his way back unless the WBA decide to give him another chance and set up another eliminator.

lol When Takam fights Parker or Ortiz he's a great opponent but when he fought Pov he was a bum (and got stopped).

No, he was pretty good opponent then, he is now, too.

He had an even fight vs Povetkin till the late rounds, it was a draw on cards after 8th. He gave Parker hell and won 5 rounds.

If Ortiz dominates and stops him, I'd be impressed.

Ortiz and Takam are both warriors. This will be a great rumble.

Agree. Takam is an excellent fighter. He has a busy schedule, too. Ortiz is maybe the favourite but I would not count Carlos out. If Takam really wants this, he could take it.
