Jacobs holds a paper belt, is he the no 1 in the organization?????
the WBA is in the monsters den, if Jacobs wants it he should slay the monster, until then he s no champion

A paper belt is worth more than 25%.

    Quigg Frampton was 50/50

    Wlad/Povetkin was 75/25.

Once again, we have the other side trying to bend the rules, talking about pushing the fight, talking about an "interim" bout yet somehow It's still GGG's fault.

I have said it for a long time now

GGG is p4p top 3 based purely on promise/perceived ability, his actual resume is not very good.

If Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr were to beat him, and dominate him no one would put CEJ in the top 20 p4p, GGG will be an overhyped Eurobum, very similar to Bute.

People like you will say they always knew GGG was overrated, when is CEJ going to move up and fight outside of bumsville (no one would want to see him bash iddy biddy Canelo, like you want GGG to)

GGG struggles to get any big names in the ring, wouldn't he be better accepting a 60-40 split if it meant he was fighting a credible opponent?

I mean who does he realistically fight next that fans see as a threat?

It isn't GGG fault but if all top fighters are ducking, wouldn't it be better if GGG made a compromise of a more even split of 60-40 if it meant getting a top level fight?

If the alternative is a WW, then giving Jacobs %40 would make sense. But if there was another top10 contender ready to take the fight on december, I wouldn't bother wasting time to get the deal with DJ.

ggg doesn't give a flying **** about fighting top level talent. It's all about the game using boxing politics. No excuses for him this time, but the pattern with him is seen by everybody now. Negotiation details being leaked is part of the game. They want their minions/fanboys to be ok with this fight falling through.

There aint no big names seen as a threat for GGG from 154 to 168 except Canelo, the only other big name would be Ward at LHW

A Jacobs fight is on par with a Lemieux fight, and that was so easy to make, wasnt it ??
But thats cuz David was feeling confident, PLUS he put the IBF on the table, so he had an ace under his sleeve not to the stuck in mandatory splits rulings

Jacobs aint got confidence and he aint got leverage and for damn sure he s not a big name

Jacobs another undeserved champ clinging to his belt. Give him 65-35 compromise, get it over with and move on to bigger things.

GGG can vacate the belts, boil down and fight McGregor at 154 in a boxing match then come up to 168 to fight Ward then boil down again to fight Alvarez at 155 then finish with a tour in the WWE.

About sums up the stance of the usual suspects here who seem more suited to Hollywood then boxing.

I guess it depends how everything turns out. If Jacobs team is the reason the fight does not happen then of course. As of right now I think it was stupid for the WBA to prolong negotiations. GGGs team asked for a purse bid for a reason. It isn't like Jacobs team is bringing a belt to the table he is a paper champ and he certainly does not have the fanbase to warrant a higher split. The WBA might as well have adjusted the percentages themselves because it would be stupid for GGGs team to give up any more money than the purse bid percentage. All the WBA is doing is prolonging the fight from happening or falling apart.

Sorry lets not bring up 168. GGG has never fought there so we can't really say who is and who isn't a threat at that weight. 160 to 168 is a big jump up anyway so lets be realistic and stick to what we have been shown by GGG instead of the unknown. Otherwise its just subjective BS instead of facts.
