Golovkin would send this guy to deep sleep. He doesn't want any of it.

    Very much this

Jacobs win wouldn't do anything special for Gennady's legacy

BJS win will because it would be historic, also a Canelo win will improve legacy only because of name value

A Jacobs win wouldnt do ish for Golovkin's legacy ,
Jacobs is a nobody, he's doenst even sell out NYC, matter of fact Golovkin sold out NYC against a Canadian FFS, this is the TRUTH

Only beating BJS and Canelo would improve Gennady's legacy

    Your thoughts ?

I need definite proof of this sh.. Before making any judgement. The thing is, i don't believe US fans are so stupid that they would forget this ever happening. Nobody will pay to see Jacobs fight after this. Logic says, he has to face Golovkin, take the defeat (and big $$$) and rebuild. He would make more money in the process.

You're right that beating Jacobs would barely be a step up from his last several fights and would not enhance his god-awful legacy very much...

The point still stands however, if GGG wants to cement his legacy, and if he wants to see even a fraction of success that someone like Pacquiao had, GGG will need to bend over backwards at times to lure fighters in the ring. Canelo did it against Mayweather, and he also did it against Cotto. JCC did it against Whitaker, Hopkins against De La Hoya, Duran against Leanord and so forth and so on...

And for your last sentece, I studied business in college and I work in the Financial industry, business aspects of things intrigues me, especially in boxing where business is the #1 motivating factor.

This. Jacobs is in his prime. He wont get much better than this. He is mandatory, position that contenders aim to get for the shot against the champion, the big prize and recognition. Unfortunately it seems Jacobs career higlight was win against old Mora. Pretty good, but far from great.

I know a lot about business and boxing. I don't have inside info on offers made. However, it doesn't change the simple fact that Ggg should feel urgency to lure top fighters in the ring whether itis by paying them more or moving up or down in weight.

You are correct. Jacobs is a slight step up imo. Ggg needs more than a slights tep up at this stage of his career.

Since you know business tell us why in a Mandatory situation GGG should feel any urgency at all? There is a reason for purse bids. Since you are a financial businessman I will let you figure the rest out.

He should offer them what they are worth and if Jacobs doesn't like it then too bad.
Now his ***** ass is crying to WBA and begging them for more money :lol:

He should feel urgency to get quality opposition in the ring. Why? Because he's 35 and not getting any younger and has a god-awful resume.

LOL. This is a mandatory fight. There is no reason for GGG to do **** in this scenario. None. This isn't an optional fight. Why on earth would he just give Jacobs 40% or 50%? And you told us you are a businessman? And in finance? Think about what you are saying for a minute.

If Ggg cares about money and legacy he should do whatever it takes to lure fighters in who will enhance his brand and legacy.

If Ggg is satisifed with his career as it stands, he needs do nothing different.

You can say exactly this about Golovkin too.

Where was his ambition to be great , to make a name for himself and create a legacy when he had the opportunity to fight Ward? A win over Ward would top a career beating the type of guys he is beating now.
He turned down a career defining fight , and for what? To fight C levellers and welter weights?
But you're right , there was a time when guys would never walk from a chance to prove their greatness . Jacobs and 3G are not those type of guys.
