There have been a lot of fighters who were criticized for staying in one division and people called them to move up where have you been? Ward also fought in a better division than ggg he cleaned it out wanted ggg but was declined he then moved up. Ward has been inactive and was moving up to face a killer in kovalev no problem with him taking some fights first especially when ward signed that 4 fight deal with hbo kovalev was one of the fights they wanted. The Kovalev ward fight was always going to happen it's been a basically a done deal when ward signed that contract with hbo.

 

Tito was favored over Hopkins that's irrelevant when discussing this. Tito also beat a legit champ at 160 in joppy.

Hopkins hung around for 18 years. One more year from GGG shouldn't be a problem using that metric. GGG has unfinished business. When he gets all the belts Canelo fight or not it will be time to move up and I will be right there with you asking him to move up for a different challenge. Honestly he needs to just forget Canelo he doesn't want the fight or to take the risk. Fight Jacobs who is the mandatory then offer Saunders 50/50 and go to the U.K. then drop the belts and move up. Hopefully if GGG did this you would not criticize him for moving up to 168 for these big challenges you are talking about and telling Oscar and Canelo to go screw themselves.

 

Tito was a 154 fighter who boiled down to 147 and ate himself up to 160.
