kovalev is going to really batter ward.

 

He should have acted accordingly and behaved himself in his presence. Bernard Hopkins managed to do it and inevitably avoided a serious beating in the process. He didn't have to tell fond stories or bow down simply display some level of decorum instead of behaving like a mindless brute that was never exposed to any civility.

It's Ward's call in the end. I Just hope he is fully aware of the price he has to pay for how he has behaved. If John was still around he would have corrected his son for the level of disrespect he has showed towards people like Sergey and Kathy.

Kovalev will undoubtedly stripe this disrespectful fool of the last remnants of dignity that he has held on to for so long. While his devotees, blindly invested their brand of loyalty with much fervour that they continued to buy and adore a man who is now defined by fleeting past glories.

It's great Ward has gotten a little unfriendly. Kovalev's quasi worship of him in interviews was getting a little too much. Ward did us all a favor with that.
