The last guy who tried to "tie him up" got lit up by Golovkin. Hopkins would be in the fight of his life.
Hopkins loses badly nobody ties up and outboxes ggg unless they want to be stopped with broken bones.
id prob go with Hopkins...hop might even hurt the bumdog with nice some nice uppercuts...heck brook was able to land them easily what we do know for certain though is Hopkins has a pair of brass nuts that golovkin will never be able to compare to his tiny raisin testicles
Prime Hop would make this fight so ugly it would be a UD that looked like a schooling. He has a knack for that.
hopkins has proved himself time and again more than enough to win a points decision over an aggressive boxer who hasnt yet proved elite. 3G hasnt fought elite yet, and has beaten world level just twice, something hopkins does before breakfast more regularly than flossing.
Hopkins one of the most underrated fighters of all time, and that's after the fact hes still already rated highly.
Hopkins' punch and clinch would not work very well on Golovkin. GGG controls distance too well, and his jab is too effective, when he bothers to use it. Now, I'm not saying BHop couldn't win, because he's a very smart boxer and finds ways to win matchups he has no business in winning. He'd have to come up with some other way to win, imho. But those that write off Golovkin as a face-first brawler the the ones that are doing the serious underestimating. I suggest watching GGG fights against guys with power and his early fights in Germany. He is more an excellent boxer than a brutal puncher, believe me.
lol@ Golovkin by stoppage. Krusher could't stop a 50 year old Hopkins and Krusher would tear GGG to shreds. GGG has no defence for the unrelenting attack Hop would throw at him. If he had trouble with Brooks uppercut , imagine the horror he'd have with Hop's longer , rangier more powerful uppercut.
