Lol hopkins wouldn't be on the front foot in this fight.. people need to understand that Brook didn't go out there to win, he just wanted to show how tough he was. that's why he decided to trade with golovkin and throw combos. Brook used angles and back pedaled against porter, but he fought golovkin toe to toe. Hopkins would fight on the back foot instead of using his usual smothering style to avoid getting clipped.

I'd give Hopkins a chance against Fonfara. Wouldn't be easy for him, but he could do it.

Popkins already didn't in 10 fights. GGG has always done.

What a great fight that would've been. Bernard is the naturally bigger man with about a 3 inch height advantage and a 5 inch reach advantage. I don't know how much either advantage would factor in to a fight between them though since I'd imagine most of Bernard's work would come from the inside. At his peak, he was a phenomenal inside fighter with great counterpunching and defensive abilities. Combine those attributes with the fact he carries a very good chin and I think he'd be able to beat GGG in a UD type of manner.

GEE I wonder if Golovkin could beat SEGUNDO MERCADO on the first try? Or mighty CLINTON MITCHELL? Or shucks, can anybody see Golovkin beating JERMAINE TAYLOR?

Bugger off Herol, yer talkin' shyte as usual.

I grew up with Bernard and watched most of his big fights and was a huge fan. Golovkin I picked up since the US and dont miss a fight he's in.

Like many I just don't see Golovkin doing it. Now maybe he goes on and beats Ward or Degal or Kovalev and makes me change my mind but Hopkins is just so good and people tend to really forget.

I don't see a KO for either and I don't see Bernard winning with ease. Golovkin has a jab and body punching that would make this a tough fight.

I think Golovkin would lose a clear decision. It is however an insult to compare him to Pavlik, he's much more skilled.

SOmeone talking about a first pro fight loss is talking shyte? really. Explain how a first fight loss has any bearing on prime Hopkins. Hopkins was prime in his first fight?? NO, unless you can now explain that he was. If you dont explain it, then YOU ALONE are talking shyte.

Sercundo Mercado? He drew with him, thus keeping his title, and beat him at without the altitude sickness of the first fight.
EXPLAIN when 3G overcame altitude sickness and still didnt lose and easily beat him without it, or YOU ARE TALKING SHYTE.

JERMAINE TAYLOR - WHEN 3G finally FACES SOMEONE ELITE THEN WE'll JUDGE WHETHER HE BEATS TAYLOR. Otherwise you are talking shyte as usual.

thats 3 times you are talking shyte.

    Remember this?

JFK, it was just a few posts ago. You really don't remember that?

Looking at the comparitive resumes, I'd say that Golovkin does better.

    Have a good day

    :)

Jeebus, I can see the prima donnas around here suck their collective panties right up into their cracks with indignation when GGG surpasses Hopkins' 160 defences. They'll need Plumbers-R-Us on speed dial to extract them again.
