pay no mind...its typical bumdog double standard logic....weve seen it once, weve seen it a million times here

weve even seen "well yeah I think 60-40 would be fair but if the bumdog bends for Jacobs then everyone else is going to try to do the same thing and bully him"

as if golovkin isn't already having a hard enough time making good fights

So you're saying wanting to stick to the rules that was just confirmed by the sanctioning body itself is the exact same as refusing the same rules?

On one of your points: Golovkin is consistent with going by the rules because it works in his favor. He gets a larger share vs Canelo if the mandatory was enforced, and he gets 15% more vs Jacobs if the mandatory is enforced. I'm not saying he's wrong, just that he's doing what earns him more money.

Not quite. Jacobs isn't asking for the lion's share, he's asking for an increase. Golovkin doesnt want a decrease in his share. Neither man is budging because they want more money. Yet only Jacobs is criticized for it.

Golovkin isn't refusing the rules because it works in his favor. Like I said, that's fine with me, but let's not just criticize one.

That's why you have to respect Lomachenko, the man was willing to reduce his pay to get a good fight made. You can't complain about everyone ducking you then be stubborn in negotiations. I get it, rules are rules, but in that case just continue fighting mediocre opposition and stay quiet.

Let's just criticize one. Golovkin worked for years to become the WBA super champ and made multiple defences of it. If WBA announced that the split was up to the fighters to decide, you might've been right, but they didn't. Just like It was with Wlad and Povetkin, this is a regular champion/mandatory situation and the split is 75/25 as it was announced by WBA. The side who refuses to go by the rules is the one who's stalling the fight.

I very much suspect that Golovkin may have been offering more than 25%, but probably short of the 40%. Otherwise there would not have been negotiations in the first place. I'm going to take a flier and guess that K2 offered 30-32%.

    This.

And there is a reason why Jacob's team were trying to up the purse. I doubt daddy Haymon will bid much, if at all (like what happened with Wilder). I fully expect Jacobs to vacate.

After all, if he wasn't prepared to fight GGG for a 75/25 purse split, he should have vacated his belt long ago.

I agree. But just to put a finer point on it, Jacobs doesn't actually have a belt. He's got some or other "junior" title that means nothing other than the WBA rakes in extra sanctioning fees. I guess he could refuse to fight GGG for the real belt as mandatory. Must be the first time that I heard of a mandatory ducking a chance to win 3 belts.

So if Jacobs vacates then asks for higher than 25% you think they have a fight? I'm not blaming or criticizing Golvokin, just calling it for what it is, he's not budging because the wba is backing him and he wants that money. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't know, maybe. But I don't think anyone from team GGG would be willling to overpay Jacobs without him bringing something to the table that Golovkin wants.

Jacobs must take this fight and he must try and prove his Chin.
