I dont disagree with that for now.brook didnt have the silver spoon khan did.brook cant get the fights.that will change now.one thing i can say quite confidently is that no one on khans resume maybe canello aside beats brook and khan definately doesnt.khan doesnt have the power to trouble brook, brook has the speed power and timing to send amir back to hospital
Khan is a an average boxer with excellent hand speed. He has no jab, footwork, defence and power. Take away his hand speed and you have a bum
Murray and Thaxton are prime examples of Khan's carefully plotted career and his delusional arrogance about his own ability. There was so many people in the UK at that time calling for Murray Vs Khan, but Khan said he was "already above domestic level" even though he had never won a professional title at this point and ignored the British title and went for the commonwealth title instead and avoiding Murray in the process. That all happened in 2007, Murray won the British title and Khan won the commonwealth, Khan almost refused point blank to fight "domestic level" Murray but went on to fight Scott Lawton and Graham Earl in his next two fights. Khan logic at its finest.
If any of you get bored, there is a twitter parody account, @deludedamir. it is worth having a little scroll down, some of it is excellent.
Khan should have stayed at 140. I will remember him as a very fast fighter, great boxing skills, but not good stamina and a not so good chin......................
Just when you say hes never ducked a challenge when he has ducked dodged and avoided a career high purse to fight someone who has been openly mocking him for years, stating brook has nothing to offer, when it is brrok whos actually world champion and khan isnt
^this is the truth another thing where did all the khan fans go been very quite round theses parts of late beginning to think khan and groves fans are one and the same
A lot of disrespect here. Here's how I'll remember him: - An Olympic Silver Medalist for Great Britain at just the age of 17 (a truly great achievement in ams), putting on heroic performances there and giving Mario Kindelan all he could handle. The pride of Britain. Amateur boxing was Khan's forte and that's what he had trained for all his life, not the pros. - Someone who put British Asians on the map in both British and World sport, who were previously not on this level. - A charitable man who spent millions giving to charity. - A boxer who had the highest level of heart. I will never forget that despite being knocked and rocked in his career against Garcia, Maidana, Prescott, he never gave up, he still wanted to keep going. I can't not respect that. - A man who can outbox just about anyone (until he gets knocked out). - The fastest boxer I've ever seen. - An overachiever in the pros, given how bad his chin is. Khan was world champion a few times. I have nothing but respect given his circumstances. - A man who lost a lot of his hunger just a year after he got married, and despite being annoying outside of the ring, he still took pride in learning the sweet science and did his best to do so under his trainer Virgil Hunter. - A man who always used to think like a winner. His self-belief is inspiring.
