I have no reason to knock golovkin...im causcasian....and I think hes an excellent fighter skillwise...maybe great even...I knock him from what I see out of his career....at a certain point you have to stop blaming and pointing the finger at everyone else

I'm happy for you to say both are trash if that's how you see them. I just don't see how Wilder's CV is significantly better than Joshua's and that's what you weren't able to get. They're pretty similar.

I don't think people hate people purely based on racial motives. There are lots of different factors at play. You have spent a lot of time discussing Golovkin. Only you really know why.

And the latter may be the most sensible post you've ever written. It's what you've seen there that has put off so many potential opponents. Had he been an American I have no doubt he'd already have been in a number of hotly anticipated, high profile fights.

 

I have no reason to hate on golovkin...im a boxing fan....and I give everyone a fair shake until they've left me with a solid opinion either way on them....and this is the opinion golovkin has left me with

I don't respect people who constantly point fingers at everyone else....youll come across many of them in your everyday life....I have no use for them...eventually you can create or forge your own way or destiny to a certain degree.....golovkin has let people gas him up...his team....hbo.....he thinks hes bigger than he is...and apparently acts accordingly...eventually more people might close doors in his face with this attitude....

this is where ggg is at...and its not pretty....the guy dragged up a welterweight, with one top 10 ww win, for a glorified exhibition fight in his last outing...and that may be the best thing hes done so far

Secondly, if you're rated as one of pound for pound fighters within the sport, you're going to have a bit of an ego. Andre Ward has one too despite not being a huge draw. Lots of guys have gone on record saying they don't want to fight him, others have been shameless in their actions. You can legislate for this. It has happened before and sadly will happen again. You can keep blaming him for every problem he as but most neutral people will lay blame at the door of the other parties involved in most of the cases.

Canelo's rep has taken a hit and I have no doubt they were disappointed with 300k after those tickets sales the same way Golovkin's team were after selling out MSG so quickly only to get 150k.

Something tells me you wouldn't have slammed Hagler in the same way and yet he was notoriously difficult to deal with and relatively inactive when he reached the middleweight summit.

 

golovkin fans will never lay any blame on him at all...EVER!!! even in saying 60-40 is "fair" in the same sentence will turn and say "but I don't blame him it will set a bad precedent so its ok"........60-40 and the fight is prob done!!!

I don't think 60/40 is right. I think the champ mando split is right and Wlad vs Povetkin was the correct precedent to set. Jacobs has made his money milking his fake belt, now he's getting a shot at the real thing he shouldn't be rewarded any further for being the number one contender. When Golovkin was the contender for Canelo's belt I thought he should have been willing to take the mando/champ split agreed beforehand. Alvarez turned out to be less than trustworthy on that front, I believed him when he said he'd face GGG when he beat Cotto.

And I'm not saying the numbers aren't good, just that he has taken a hit. I think they would have been better ppv wise than what he ended up with.
