Nobody will ever know, I don't believe in Psychics However, Golovkin would have probably beaten Hopkins, there is a reason for such.........
Beside watching fights and spar in the ring, this is one of the things boxing fan do. If you want to start a thread to which porn star you jerk off to, by all means but not in a boxing forum.
Response above us for this quote: there needs to start being "who gives a **** about hypothetical bs" choices in these endless garbage threads.
Two points here. 1) Murray is an enormous middleweight 2) Murray did no damage, scored no points in the clinch and most importantly 3) When Golovkin got tired of Murray's holding, he used his excellent footwork to create space as the Brit came in, and lit him up repeatedly. People say Golovkin has no "special effects". I say they are wrong. His mastery of distance and his great footwork allow him to dictate the range the fight takes place at. If he needs to pressure somebody, there's no fighter on earth that I have seen him face that can run from him. If he needs to stop the clinch, well, we saw how he does it. I repeat: it might be possible for a great fighter like Hopkins to beat GGG, but he ain't doing it with hit n hold tactics.
No chit Sherlock. Murray can barley box on the outside , let alone inside the wheel house. He's a woeful fighter who shells up in fights and loses on points. Thats literally all he can do. He isn't 5% of the fighter Hopkins is. Except Hop wouldn't be walking forward and backward in straight lines to allow Golovkin 'light him up' . Golovkin can only hit whats right in front of him , Hop is pivoting all around him using speed and angles to get off first every time. GGG will be thinking to himself - they didn't teach me these things in boxing school , what going on , where am i ??
That skinny mid-section of Hopkins would be beaten to a pulp, I'm thinking punctured spleen, kidneys and liver.....
Hopkins He's shown more, fought way better opponents (hasn't won them all) and won at two weight divisions fighting massive punchers along the way without being real close to be KOed. Would Golovkin have beat Prime Roy Jones? No. Joe Calzaghe? No. Prime Dawson @ 175? no
