Kovalev bullies him and knocks him out within 5-7 rounds.

You don't prepare for a top P4P fighter by fighting a 50 year old man.

I think ward is too skilled for Kovalev. I look for ward to look great that night and win although kovalev might have some good rounds and hurt ward at some point.

Ward is a bridge too far, boxing 101 never take a puncher over a boxer.

I can understand why Froch said that, his footwork was awful and he didn't punch like Kovalev does.

Andre also has one of the best step back's in the game, and rarely takes more than one step backwards without turning.

Ward will frustrate the hell out of kov.

I think Kovalev is going to shock people. But not because he knocks Ward out. I think even people who pick Ward think it is possible for Kov to get the KO just unlikely. I think Kov is going to school Ward way worse then how he did Hopkins. He is going to look pretty while putting terrible leather on Ward. He is going to mess Ward up.

50/50 fight, but I'm still leaning slightly towards Kovalev, I see his timing and accuracy nullifying Ward's speed and reflexes

Froch was known for toughness and stamina, but he wasn´t technician. He was also pretty slow on his feet and hands. He was tailor made for Ward. Kovalev on the other hand is known for his power and his foot and hands speed are another level compared to Froch. No comparison.

Kovalev has great timing and accuracy, feints well, can be patient and back off, good footwork, can adapt and think.. but the killer is his power which unfortunately when delivered with great timing and accuracy is a big problem. Like Roach says, we had a great plan with Pascal but after the first round it was clear that Kovalev just hits way too hard. Freddie sees no way for Ward based on this alone.

Personally, though of course the power is always at play, I think Kovalev will flip the script and embarass Ward, and turn Ward into a fighter trying to survive, and then put the lights out on him.

Froch was slow and open and seemed to lack awareness of where his hands were. Kovalev is a way better boxer, never mind the power.

Look at the Hopkins fight. Hopkins and Ward have very similar styles, and although Hopkins was ancient, you saw in that fight that Hopkins couldn't do anything. I expect Ward to do a little better, but not much.
