    Ruiz will start out well, probably get in Parker's grill for a few rounds and work his body, maybe edge a few of the early ones, then Ruiz will slow, gas out look terrible like he did against Liakhovich and Franklin and get KTFO by the 8th or 9th.

    Definitely pulling for Parker to get the "W" (and hopefully the WBO title will be at stake).

    It's the path of least resistance, much easier fight then AJ in the UK. He is the ibf mandatory challenger. I don't blame him though.

    Will be rooting for Ruiz to knock this guy clean out for taking a detour to a world title. Beating Ruiz just means you beat Ruiz. Its a sad day for boxing if either man is crowned a champion.

    Fury has relinquished his belts, so the division is a bit of a mess as it is. Somebody was going to have to fight for this WBO strap. Plus with Tyson Fury out, the current "top guy in the division" spot is also vacant; he didn't lose his belts in the ring. So fights like these tend to happen in a fragmented division as things (eventually) sort out. Unfortunately, the HW division's title situation has been a mess for years.

    All of these belts exist to be unified anyway. The "man" at HW won't truly be crowned until then. Joseph Parker has a lot of upward momentum in his favor and his continued progress and development would be good for the HW division. Should he win a strap here, it would be no worse than AJ picking up a freshly stripped IBF strap off of a Charles Martin fight.

    I have no doubt that AJ and Parker would fight each other in a unification match in the event that each were champions after their next fights. I could be wrong about that, but we'll see.

    Its pointless hoping things materialise in the future. You have to demand whats best for the sport right now. AJvsParker looked to be on course very soon. Now it could be years away. It was hoped Wilder would unify when he became champ but that doesn't look to be happening now , if ever.
    The Cruiser weight division has had 4 champs for donkey years and was never close to having a unfed or undisputed champion.
    The Super 6 formed to create one champ and there still managed to be another champ on the outside looking in.
    Id rather see a guy willing to beat a champ to become a champ rather than chase a vacant title. Joshua is the guy to beat , not Andy Ruiz.

    Not sure that's the case, think it is just maths.

    If Parker fights Joshua now he would likely only get 25% of the pot, if he brings the WBO to the table he would get 50%?
