There is only one certainty in this kind of math up. Haye would never take the fight unless Marciano was the only road to a title, or a significant pay day.
David Haye will look amazing against Marciano. That is for the first 4, 5, 6 rnds. Marciano turns up the heat... And well... It wont end well for Haye..
The physical advantage is most certainly not huge. I've met Haye. 6'1" tops. The guy is no bigger than Ezzard Charles when he's not fighting. Those tale of the tape stats are total baloney. 6'3" my ass! Muhammad Ali was a size bigger than Holyfeild and Haye type guys yet to read tale of the tape those guys were supposed to be the same ball park. They were not. Once guys move up to heavyweight the height stats are exadurated. In fact, almost nobody is as tall as they are billed. I expect it.
I think the weight Haye actually fought at as a heavyweight is the relevant figure posters are comparing to Marciano.ie His average weight as a heavyweight is 217lbs, therefore he has an average weight advantage of 30 lbs over Marciano. That is a significant weight disparity imo. I think an objective poster would recognie it and say so , but hey ho.
You are absolutely right. The only thing is, you seem to insinuate that the 100lb difference between Haye and Valuev is irrelevant. And that all of a sudden, style must be considered into the equation. Seems flip floppity.
But what does he do with that weight? Does it make him faster? A smarter fighter? A better inside fighter? Quicker feet? A better chin or punch than Marciano?
