Whilst I agree with you he hasn't thought the best opposition, at least he was active before the injury and I can't say he ducked povetkin as he wasnt the one who took any prohibited drugs. Did he really want the Povetkin fight? I don't think so but had Povetkin not taken the meldonium I think Wilder would have taken him on for sure.

You have to be fair to Wilder. He doesn't have the greatest skillset, but he improved a bit and he tries to remain active. Yes his choice of opposition is a joke, but he tries to make the best out of his unpopularity and lack of skill. I can't blame him too much for handpicking opponents and trying to remain keep it low-risk. I wonder what would I do if I was in his shoes: shaky chin, no ATG skills, but I own the WBC strap. I would try to milk it by picking Dahaupases and Molinas as long as possible.

As a boxing fan it sucks, but from his point of view I understand.
