George Foreman III recently posted a interesting story on his instagram that I thought I would share here. "While training for his comeback, pops hurt himself chopping wood when the axe went into his leg instead of the tree. His workout was not done though, so he took off his sock, wrapped up the cut, and finished the workout. In fear of derailing his comeback, George Foreman would go on to finish the rest of his training camp punching the heavy back from a stool to let the leg heal. Not long after, he became the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history." Nothing but respect for Big George, also for George III as Ive had conversation with him and hes a down to earth guy.
I'm impressed by George's first aid skills also. Would definitely want to have him next to me in a foxhole in Nam.
Ha ha. Sorry Blizzy, it was just wide open, I felt like I had to, lol. (I actually don't mind Blizzy)
Yeah, Blizz is OK. He's had me LOL a couple of times. He's biased towards and against some boxers and isn't shy to tell you. I can respect that. His mom is also legendary
LOL, Foreman must possess Houston's most Funkiest feet. That cut must have taken longer to heal since he put that Toe-Jam, Foot fungus laced sock directly on the cut. Anyway, after decades of cutting wood without a similar injury, I wonder if Big George had the axe in one hand and a hamburger in the other.
How ali had the tenacity to think he could get in there with prime Foreman and beat him... What a monster of a mentality.
Wait... something is seriously wrong with that story... an ax has a very long handle and the ax head is like a mile away from where you would hold the base of the wood... I just don't see how he could possibly hit himself w/ an ax...
Easier than you'd think. Had a close run in with an axe to the ankle before myself...never get impatient or lazy with an axe. Having one skim your leg or foot ensures you'll never make that mistake again. managed to split the old hand open impatiently misusing a pickaxe before also! This content is protected
