Your incorrect, i am not a "Lewis hater" as you claim, i am a "Lewis factualist" someone who tells it like it actually was on ALL fighters, not just Lewis.

It was well documented about Mike Tyson's drug addictions. Tyson was imprisoned for possession of Class A drugs, aswell as Tyson himself claiming he was addicted to Alcohol, cocaine & cannabis. Emmanuel Stewart is heard saying at the end of the first round of Lewis vs Tyson, "You won't believe how bad he looks" to Lewis as he returns to his corner... You are obviously a Lewis fanboy

I had Lopez outpointing Alvarez clearly over 12 in the rematch, what was your score?

    Of course DLH was great.

lacy has got to be the weakest claim to a sig win on this forum ever. A guy who got stopped by 40something is not a sig win.

    Its an insignificant win.

its argualbyhis best win, but a win over a puffing billy wjho cant manage 6 rounds is hardly a good win.

You're kind of missing the point. It is by FAR the most significant win of Calzaghe's career. Not even sure how that could be questioned. It put him on the map. Kessler was good, but Lacy made people know who Calzaghe was. Ergo, it was a truly pivotal fight in his career.

That's what a signature win means.

Yeah but Gomez was favored, as much as 2-1. The Lopez fights were quintessential Sanchez of course, and might be chosen as well, but the Gomez fight brought Sanchez into a higher level of recognition and respect, so I chose that one.

Much the same reasons I chose the Lacy fight for Calzaghe. It wasn't known in larger circles just how good Calzaghe was until he dismantled Lacy in what was supposed to have been a very competitive fight.

yeh u have acase, particularly since the kessler win was against a crocked kessler and joe ran from the rematch. I dont think joe would have been at all fearful of facing prime lacy, 2nd time, once he knew how shyte he really was.

and aside from kessler (crocked) and old hopkins, lacey was by far the best smw joe faced, though he was one of the worst smw titleholders ever was jeff.

Wilfredo Gomez. I would say, had 2 signature wins...first was vs Zarate...his "coming out" win...that was the fight that convinced me that Gomez was truly special...a thrilling performance for me. The second sig win was of course vs Pintor...which proved beyond a doubt that Gomez could take it, take a beating, suck it up and persevere like a champ.

DLH does not have a signature win in my opinion. His wins over Chavez and Whitaker were highly regarded in the 90s. But as time goes on people criticize the condition and capabilities those guys had at the point of their careers.

Fernando Vargas was essentially his defining victory in the ring. Of course his defining fights were Tito and Mosley. But they were disputed decisions.
