I said it wasn't solely on Wlad. The WBA is the main stumbling block here. It's just a waiting game now.

Wlad - Povetkin was the biggest purse in HW history. A Joshua fight isn't half of what that was.

You can't simply request a governing body put up their belt because you want more reward for your risk. There are rules and regulations.
The WBA woulda sanctioned Brook vs Golovkin if money was the only issue. There's no reason for them to put up their title. They have a list of contenders ranked for a reason.

Unless wlad wants parker for the wbo maybe sees it as lower risk to get a strap...then cash out in a unification in 2017 for his pension fund.

He bottled it. Burnd Bountor is setting him up with an easy cherry pick against Browne.

Ahmad Oner exposed the WBA when they made Sturm WBA Superchamp against a bribe of $200k in cash. Now Wlad is offering them a 5% purse cut in a 30 million quid fight and the WBA doesn't take it? Where is the logic in that?

The WBA needs to abide by its own rules.
    Whatever those rules are.

Vlad doesn't want the fight. His looking for a way out.

It's a ridiculous demand. He could fight for the IBF and win that but his making a BS excuse.

Even Wlads manager has said he will only take the fight if the WBA is on the line! Since when did the WBA mean anything special? Just take the fight ffs!

Imagine Wilder saying he won't fight Povetkin unless another belt was on the line. This type of ducking has never been seen before.
Wlad rewriting the ducking rule book

After reading the ESPN article, it sounds like Vlad is wanting the WBA back regardless of if he has to fight Browne or Joshua

he wants a Wba regardless of how he has to get it

That don't sound like a duck, that sounds to me like he wants a title to make future fights more lucrative

But I hope the WBA sanctions Joshua so Vlad can get him out of the way and December

If not Wlad will get a chance to Unifi when he takes him out next spring

But Wlad could fight for that next year while holding the IBF title. It seems like a ridiculous reason to not fight the current IBF world champion in the biggest fight in the division.

The guy has no concern for what the boxing public wants. Couldn't care less.

Browne is Hughie Fury level. Hughie beat the guy who got robbed against Browne years ago when he was an 18 year old pup.
Hughie would have no issues with Browne.
A Josuha win will earn him all the plaudits in the world. Going after Browne instead makes him an embarrassment to the sport.

As I interpret it, Wlad wants to make sure he gets a major title back after losing them all in one shot.

And The IBF is not seen as a major title the way the WBO or WBA are

Wlad had all of the titles but one for a long time, and now he has nothing......and that is his goal to be champion by -at least one- major organization and this next fight

Joshua can come after he regains a major title .... and A fight with Joshua could also be a unification as well in the spring or summer ...

that's understandable after I read the ESPN article and read Klitschko's reasoning
