Time for a video about the HW mess Rummy. Your thoughts on Fury and Wlad's chances in possible fights with Joshua, Ortiz and Wilder etc.
Rummy will you make a vid for Kov-Ward and Loma-Walters? Maybe combine them into 1. HBO is closing out the year strong.
I've been out of the loop the last 10 days or so. Recently returned from a vacation in an area where I lacked phone signal. What have I missed? Any big new fights signed, or anything especially noteworthy going on?
Gvozdyk vs. Chilemba on the Kov-Ward undercard. Loma-Walters. Miura-Salido. Fury tested positive for coke, so Wlad may face AJ.
I had actually seen some stuff on Fury doing his best Tony Montana, and Wlad-AJ. Hope that one comes together. Fired-up about Gvozdyk-Chilemba. Nice addition to that card. And even more fired-up for Loma-Walters. Thanks!
My problem is going to be time. I'm extremely busy until early November, so not sure I will get to anything until my Kovalev-Ward preview. Although I did want to rant on Tyson Fury quickly. I'll see what I can do Sunday night if I have time and if that one's not too outdated.
Nice one again Rummy! B-Hop is a true legend in the sport, eventhough I really don't like his style and regular fouling, he's most certainly a dying breed. Professor Hopkins had an insane career, and even at almost 52, I have to go with him against a young puncher in his farewell bout. Although, if he wins it might not even be his farewell, like you mentioned in your vid.
I hope that - win, lose, or draw - Hopkins calls it a day and sticks with promoting and commentating, where I think he can ultimately be a good ambassador for boxing. I tend to believe that Smith has the type of style that Hopkins generally tended to thrive against. But those last 2 years out of the ring? I really don't know what to think. It's not like the difference between 38 40 - but rather, 50 and 52. Boxing is one of those sports that tend to end cruelly for aging fighters - and Hopkins is freakin' OLD! But he's also on record as the most successful fighter to win major championships into old age. So what to think? If Hopkins is 75% of what he was against Shumenov and Murat, I tend to believe he should be comfortable in there. But is he 75% of his more youthful 48 year old self? Thanks for tuning in, as always Robney! Apologies for the delayed response, as I had tricked myself into believing I had already replied to this.
