BILD.DE reporting that the WBA didn't accept Joshua because Browne was ready to use legal action to enforce his title shot. K2 + Hearns discussed they will try again Summer 2017, after AJ has taken care of his IBF mandatory.

Isn't Lucas Browne already the WBA champion?

Explain what's wrong with fighting Browne for the WBA instead of fighting Joshua for the IBF ?

Browne is awful. I wouldn't expect him to go more than three rounds with Joshua or many more with any other genuinely world class opponent.

He's back under a cloud with steroid allegations hanging over him and brings little money or interest to the table. You can't compare a fight with Joshua to one with Browne for what it would do for boxing. One would be a huge event, the other the summary execution of a domestic level fighters fairly unremarkable career.

I'm not the only one who sees Browne for the plodder he is either. Parker's team have also been talking loudly about how bad an opponent he'd be for Klitschko.

He was stripped after being caught with PED abuse.

I could well imagine that Hearns demanded way more than 50% from the purse if Wlad came without the WBA belt. Because all that's on the line then would be AJ's IBF belt in a voluntary defense. People who argue Wlad 'ducked' AJ are delusional. Wlad was ready to fight both Fury and AJ in the UK on enemy territory, he deserves respect for that.

What legal claim has Browne over the Supa Title? I assume its the Super and not the Regular Wlad wants against Browne?

Do people think Browne is up there. What have I missed? He's a big brawler

Is booking of the German venue a few weeks ago suggests he was never prepared to fight Joshua. This is a blatant clear cut case of ducking.
There's no excuse at all for it.

Damn it, it looks like Wlad/Joshua is out. Though I get the reasons why WBA won't sanction it even if I don't like it.

I have to question Wlad's thinking if he does go ahead and fight Browne. Even if he does win, it's a meaningless win, it says nothing in regards to what he has left as a fighter. I'd pick a shot Wlad on his worse day to beat Browne. People would still question what he has left and only his most ardent fans would claim he was number 1 again by beating Browne.

Wlad was looking to make a statement by beating Fury in a rematch or the supposed heir apparent or at least the next big hype job. What does beating Browne prove other than he took an easier option.

There is one excuse, and it´s a good one: Wlad has not fought in a year, is 40 years old and got dominated in his last fight.
A Browne fight makes all the sense in the world.
But i am ****ing pissed that they were close to making a fight with Joshua, yet turned it down to fight for the WBA belt.

No , it only makes sense to Wlad and what Wlad wants here don't represent what the boxing world wants in any way. All the sense in the world wanted Wlad to fight AJ.
Joshua is just a green 17 fight novice so the playing field is even. Lewis was out of the ring a year when he fought Vitali.

Eddie Hearn confirmed the split is 50-50 regardless.
