Wlad just wanted an easy fight he could win. That's all there is to it. Of course beating Browne mean nothing. If would of beat Joshua(which he couldn't) would of been a huge statement.

Wlad take a lose, lose fight. If he beat Browne nobody cares. But on the other hand if he were to lose to Browne, lol.

The Joshua fight would of in some ways been a win/win for him. Most people would expect Joshua to beat him. And if lost everybody would of just said he is a 40 y/o washed up fighter and it won't take a lot from his legacy.

On the other hand could you imagine what would of been if he actually beat Joshua, the guy most people think is the future of the sport and likely to go down as one of the greatest fighters ever. It would of been a huge boost to his argument as truly ATG.

So Wlad still doesn't have a win against a guy in his prime, who is taller than 6'5, who is actually in shape and actually as some boxing skills. And beating Browne won't change that.

Haye vs Femi could be a go'er then? Bellew will not be happy.

Disappointing move from Klitschko. He's clearly taking the much easier and less publicly wanted path to a belt here and its still only one belt. He said he wanted both titles(IBF and WBA) on the line for a Joshua match up but is still fighting for just one title after all against Browne.

Not sure Wlad's motive for picking Browne over Joshua. A Joshua match would have been much bigger financially and credit wise for Wlad.

It's possible, like Wlad's team has mentioned, that the plan is to make a unification fight this summer after both have picked up titles and there's more time to promote the fight.

If that's the case credit to Wlad since Johsua only picks up more experience and Wlad gets older by then. If the Joshua fight doesn't happen at all then picking Browne is a disappointing move from Wlad.

And Lewis came in at a career high weight and was dragged into a war.
That novice looks like a damn wrecking ball, Wlad got dominated in his last fight. It is a recipe for disaster if Wlad is not at his best.

This is one of the few occasions that I find myself agreeing with you.

Wlad is simply choosing the easier option here if he goes for Browne. He's been a very cautious fighter in the ring and so it's not surprising if he chooses the option with the least risk here.

Wlad/Joshua is a pick em fight which means there's some risk involved for both sides. Joshua and Hearn are willing to take a calculated risk that Wlad is shot or close to it. Let's hope Wlad will go against his nature a take a risk in hoping that Joshua isn't ready yet to compete on his level.

And the longer Wlad waits , the worse it will be for him. He won't ever be willing if he isn't willing right now.

TBH I think Wlad is washed up. He may get brutally KO'd fighting either of these guys.
If he returns to the ring and beats up these kids I'll give him props but I think his
    days are numbered.

This. The Joshua fight could go either way, but Browne is awful and no threat to Wlad. Browne is even worse than Pulev, who I always thought was highly overrated.

This! No matter how many on here try and deny it. And Browne is a notch above anyone on Joshuas record so far

Another garbage fight for Wlad. What else is new? Boxing could not suck more right now if it tried.

Rumors that Johsua is going to fight Molina who is absolutely awful but people want to crap on a 40 year old Wlad? Where is the logic in that?

What would you call a Joshua vs Molina fight? Isn't that garbage as well? Lets not pretend like Joshua is willing to fight a legit fighter anytime soon. Joshua is even more coddled than Wilder and that is saying something.

I don't disagree with you. Both fights are totally worthless. I was finally excited about the prospect of a real matchup (Klitschko-Joshua) where the result wasn't a foregone conclusion. Neither of these replacement fights is worth a damn. They would barely be worthy of a Tuesday Night Fight 20 years ago. To call them "Title" fights is embarrassing.
