Ward playing politics again and people falling for it.

Ward only offered GGG fight at 168 after GGG had signed to fight Lemieux

He knows damn well GGG puts him in a home.

Brook - Vargas was signed , sealed and delivered . He binned that fight for a better one vs Golovkin. . Why didn't GGG do the same?

 

According to Vargas, he was just waiting for Brook's signature.

 

Because GGG honours his contracts. He is not some low ball swindler that doesn't honour agreements already in place.

To be fair both of them had a chance to make the fight but it's a risky proposition for either. Somebody's 0 is on the line and it would be disastrous to lose it for peanuts, which is what they would have gotten. That's why (imho) neither fighter has ever REALLY pushed for the clash.

Now if Ward whoops Kovalev and GGG unifies or frankly just keeps on doing what he is doing, the money for such a superbout would be much, much better.

I bet that if the ching-ching is big enough, 168 will be where they meet.

I haven't expected them to get a fight done. GGG is too small for 175 anyway.

 

Who the hell are Ward and Jacobs? They should be happy with what they get. Outside of Oakland and New York, no one has heard of those two jokers, except if you are a hardcore boxing fan.

GGG is now a household name because he is willing to fight anywhere and anyone.

 

Not sure why Ward is even discussing this he is about to fight the most savage puncher in the sport and it about to get bashed from pillar to post and brutally KOed. Kovalev is going to end Ward's career. Ward isn't a draw, has no fanbase to speak of and gets awful ratings on TV. Nobody is going to care about him if he runs the whole fight and stinks the joint out and loses a wide UD or gets savagely KOed by Kovalev. Nobody is going to give him the time of day after that.

I can't believe anyone believes Ward has a significant fanbase. Only former Mayweather fans believe in his bs and spoil tactics in the ring.

Kovalev will do away with such nonsense and end his career in devastating fashion. It will be brutal, it will be ugly, but Ward will have brought it all upon himself. Now he's serving even greater disrespect by overlooking kovalev and talking about his friend GGG which will only further increase the level of punishment he is going to receive.

 

Can't wait until Kovalev RUINS Ward.

 

Stop spreading lies. GGG asked for the Ward fight since 2012. Ward rather commentated GGG's fights on HBO and fought Edwin Rodriguez and Paul Smith at 172. Ward is a disgrace to the fighting spirit of Irish men, who never back down from a fight.
