If you haven't been paying attention, GGG has said multiple times he wants to unify the division. Getting stripped of one before he's got all 4 would be a backwards step.

Of course, it was OK when Hopkins fought inadequate mandatories on his way to unify titles because skin colour is very important in this debate.

Canelo was the proud lineal champ, who can weigh in the 170's on fight night. Yet he tried to force a fellow MW champ to defend his belts at a CW.

It's against the rules of boxing, and it's extremely disrespectful.

Canelo could have weighed-in at 155 if he was that bothered.

He was obviously trying to gain an unfair advantage.

And GGG hasn't stopped fighting yet.

If he wants to match the amount of time Hopkins spent at 160 he needs 8 more years at Middleweight.
If he wants to match Hopkins age before he moved up he needs 7 more years
If he wants to match Hopkins number of fights he needs at 160, he needs 18 more fights.

But GGG has to move up immediately because you're not happy with his skin colour

Then afterwards he again made noise. And he knew full well that he wasn't going to get 40% when GG has 3 belts and the mandatory split is 75-25. And now, he apparently needs 10-12 weeks preparation. Not forgetting that he initially wanted an interim fight beforehand before the WBA declined.
