Vitali on points, too much height and reach for Evander to overcome. As long as Vitali doesnt come down with a freak injury he wins. Vitali peppers him from the outside all night long.

No version of Holy beats the Vitali of Lennox fight.

Best for best, Vitali, probably on points.

Vitali never clinch. In what fights did he show he was adept at clinching?

Prime undefeated Holy destroys the Lewis of the Vitali fight. That Lewis was slow , sloppy , fat ..had no footwork , no timing anf plodded forward blocking shots with his face. It was a good brawl of a fight , but the level of skill on display was flat out embarrassing. If you look at that fight and see elite level skill and talent , you need to close down your account mate.

The level of hero worship on here is beyond belief.

Vitali and his low hands would get eaten alive by Holyfield.

He cannot deal with angles and is only able to hit whats in front of him with straight punches.

He couldn't land a meaningful punch on Chris Byrd from the opening bell and blew his shoulder piece out of socket trying.

He had one very basic dimension against Holys multi dimensions .

It would look like a HW Crawford vs Postal. . . Worse for Vitali actually as he wasn't as fundamental sound as Postal.

Vitali pitches a shutout. Way too big and good for Evan.

So the guy who has wins against -
    Foreman
    Holmes
    Tyson twice
    Bowe
    Douglas
    Moorer
    Mercer

Has no chance against a guy whose best wins are Arroela , Sam Peter and Derrick Chisora??

Holyfield on points, Vitali wouldnt cope with his speed and different angles, could make a case for Evander on a late stoppage though.

He didn't clinch much because he didn't need to, because his movement was so good and his work rate was so high his opponents rarely found themselves close enough to be clinched.

But on the rare occasions it happened he showed he knew when and how to clinch. Not saying he was as good as Wlad at it because he wasn't but he had the instincts to clinch when he needed to. Wlad didn't have this natural instinct or skill until after he got with Steward.

If you want specific fights then basically any fight he had with an aggressive opponent, like Arreola or Chisora would be better, he clinched the most against Chisora. You can see he isn't just grabbing opponents, he grabs one arm and with his right and then uses his left to control his opponents head. When a fighter barrels in he uses his forearms to lean down on opponents.

The only time Vitali looked bad in the clinch was against Lewis. Not because he didn't know what he was doing but because Lewis knew how to negate his clinching, Lewis would stick his forearm into Vitali's throat when he tried to clinch. Lewis had clearly learned from the wrestling match against Akinwande and clinching was never going to work against him at this stage.

    The guy who lost to:

    Bowe x2
    Lewis
    Ruiz
    Toney
    Byrd
    Moorer
    and frickin DONALD

wins against a h2h monster like Vitali?

This isn't Bert Cooper (fun though Cooper was when he had Holy out on his feet) that we are talking about.

The village idiot has arrived ! :grinning-smiley-048:

On all matters Klitschko, my boy, either one, you are the laughing stock of the forum.

You seem to have the same sort of issues with the brothers that HerolGee has with Calzaghe.

Could both fixations stem from similar causes and circumstances ?

Perhaps you caught your mum with some big Ukranian when your old man away ?

    Who knows.

You could probably be helped, but only if you 'fess up to the problem.

Maybe even on the national 'elf.

I'll be bold enough to say that I think Holyfield could get a stoppage over Vitali on cuts.

A prime Holyfield from 89 to 93 is too talented for Vitali. I see Holyfield earning a clear UD.
