This interview with Rock Newman reveals him for what we knew all along, Bowe and his management very carefully ducked Lewis, in a move that was purposely orchestrated and clearly wanted no part of the Brit, he was frozen out of the equation making it almost impossible for the two boxers to meet during that period. Newman was even questioned regarding the calibre of Bowe's first defence as anyone who knows boxing realised that Dokes was unfit and no longer a threat at championship level, it is clearly touched upon during the interview. Newman couldn't lie straight in bed quite clearly.............

 

Forget Dokes . Every champ fights bottom feeders.
Lewis turned down offers. You don't turn down offers as a challenger for the undisputed championship.

Great photo, Larry Holmes was my favourite boxer, clearly underrated and arguably better than Ali but i cannot agree with your take on the Lewis/Bowe scenario, lets agree to disagree
