Calf injury allegedly.....probably as injured as Saunders is every time he calls off a fight. Probably couldn't get the terms agreed and sorted on his ABC strap fight vs Browne.

He should just retire, he's taking up space now

If that's the case, I guess just about every other heavyweight should also retire, as 2016 as a whole was a terrible year for the heavies (imo).

He definitely needs a warm up fight now. Browne, or Stiverne would do. Get to see how much Wladimir has slipped.

To be fair to him, he did agree to the rematch with Fury, only for Fury to pull out twice, so he was ready willing and able, and personally i think he would have reclaimed is belts against Fury, shame he ends the year like this.

    What space?
He is one of the few top Heavyweights who is willing to fight other top contenders.

I misread Wlad as Ward for a second and after too many quality fight's being cancelled this year my heart almost fell out of chest. Wlad's not fighting till next year? Don't really care.

no cos in November he'll be banned and he's supposedly going to austrailia for the I'm a Celebrity show....that's 3 weeks to get over his "depression" and come off the coke....and earn a few squids in doing so.

Yeah I agree. He shouldn't go directly into a Joshua fight coming off this big of a layoff. Take a tuneup, shake some ring rust off then take the fight with Joshua.

As it seems right now, they might just go straight into the Joshua fight in March or April, which could turn out disastrous for Wlad.
