Klitschko. He reigned for longer and he was unique in that he had a brother who was also a world champ, probably doesnt contribute much to his greatness but it sets him apart from everyone else. To be a champion for over a decade in the modern times is a true test throughout and an extremely difficult achievement.

Tillman, De Leon, Parkey and Ocasio were full blown CWs too, just like Maccarinelli and Mormeck. You're basing your argument off of Qawi Muhammad but he proved himself a legitimate cruiserweight before he fought Holyfield.

As for Adamek, Cunningham, O'neill Bell, Banks>>>Mormeck and Maccarinelli

    evander "the real deal" holyfield

true cw/hw boxer-puncher. ali modeled himself on ray robinson, but the closest to sugar ray i've seen in a heavyweight is holyfield (ali didn't work the body), when he was actually interested and motivated.. and young.

Its also the manner of how you win. I am not sure why you are not looking at the Haye/adamek thing subjectively but you rate Bell above Mormeck, but when Adamek beat Bell, Bell was coming off a loss from Mormeck. Banks did not do much at all at CW and I wouldnt put Banks above Gurov who Haye beat. Cunningham was a decent win for Adamek, but I dont rate it above Mormeck.
I put Mormeck, Maccarinelli, Fragomeni, Gurov overall above Cunningham, O'neill and Banks. Except for Cunningham, I couldnt see much of an arguement

No. I rate Cunningham higher than Mormeck(you can even argue USS has better wins @ cruiser with his wins over Huck, Diablo and Jones, and Mormeck and Bell were evenly matched in their two fights), I rate Bell considerably higher than Maccarinelli and rate Banks higher than Fragomeni. But It's all debatable between Haye, Goral, USS, Gomez, Lebedev, Huck which goes to reiterate my point on Haye being one of the top cruiserweights of the recent history. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lol no I understand that concept quite well. What I'm not getting is why you believe being stronger increases your ability to slip and counter. It doesn't

You are right when you say "having a brother who was also a world champion probably doesn't contribute to Vitali's greatness." It is totally irrelevant.

As for being a champion in modern times: 1) there has probably NEVER been an era where it is easier to become a champion due to both proliferation of additional (and unnecessary) belts and general decrease in talent. 2) Vitali had several extended periods out of the ring where he did not defend the title. 3) Vitali never attempted to unify the title.

Klitschko is not an ATG. You might consider him a HOF but certainly not an ATG

He could never fight his brother. I dont think fans could take it seriously as I wouldnt. It'll be more a spar. Also they were both boring champions, boring vs boring wouldnt sell. I do respect their legacy though despite the factors you mentioned.

I agree 100%. This is a thread about Holyfield and Vladimir. But yet in post 57, you brought up Haye. So, why bring up Haye?

Why bring up Haye when you previously questioned why bring up Lewis in a previous contri? Do you have an agenda? Btw, wasn't Haye stopped by former lightheavy Carl Thompson? You can't have it both ways.
