Anthony Joshua was dropped heavy in sparring a few weeks ago by team GB amateur Lawrence Okolie. It took Joshua a while to recover. Sparring was called off and Joshua left for the day. Rob Mckracken and a few of the GB team witnessed it. Eddie Hearn an Sky don't want people to know. Still waiting for video confirmation.
It's all over Twitter and YouTube. Two journalists have leaked it out. I'm sure lawrence okolie will be questioned about it soon.
Oh no alt. It's the end of the world alt! That doesn't happen in boxing alt. Hey alt, where's the proof anyway alt?
https://mobile.twitter.com/Trickshot78 Looks like this is the source. Has a "friend who spars" with team GB and knows 2 journalists whom he can't name. Not very credible to me, will wait to see if any more believable source can substantiate the rumour first.
His Twitter account makes him seem as credible as a fake Rolex. The Tweet was sent at 4am - so he was probably drunk and lonely - and Barry Jones didn't feel inclined to reply. And he's such a 'hot tipster' and so well-connected in boxing he has a whopping 288 followers. My BS-o-meter is going off the scale...
Agreed, but there's just something about AJ which makes me think he's chinny. Nothing to do with the Whyte fight - people over-state how close he was to being stopped - but he just looks chinny. Can't really explain what I mean, it's a gut feeling. Maybe it's the muscle-bound physique. Is it possible highly-muscled heavyweights struggle to roll with punches because their frame is so rigid and when they're tagged they can't minimise the impact? I guess we'll find out one day soon.
who is surprised? aj has fought nothing but soft opposition so far he is already known to have a suspect chin as seen in the amateurs
Sparring...we're talking about sparring? Sparring, man. Sparring. Not the real thing, but sparring. Come on man, it's sparring. * * With apologies to Allan Iverson.
