If Joshua wasn't world champ would you have a issue with this fight?

    I have a few gripes:

    1. This is a 100/0 fight with Molina already beaten by a very poor and shocking Chris Areola.
    2. Sky Box Office fights should be huge super fights only and this main event is a 100% walkover.
    3. The Whyte v Chisora pre match trash will result in a fight no better than standard Friday fight nights. (eg Skelton v Sprott.)
    4. Sticking on Twigg and a Smith against a bean tin does nothing for me.

Sorry Mr Hearn, this is simply Khan v McCloskey all over again and I will watch down at the local.

    This mug is no longer

Well there's also that it's very unlikely he'll learn anything at all F rom this fight. I mean, who is the best fighter that anyone would pick Molina to beat?

Who would buy this seriously? Why is it ppv in the UK when Femi fights this guy and on council TV when he fights Wilder in the States for the more prestigious belt held by Lewis and Vitali?

    Exactly.

I DESPISE Hearn's greed. People can rave about what he's doing for British Boxing, but look a little closer and it's a circus. He's ruining it.

At least with Wazza you got the fights that everybody wanted, and the fights that mattered. There's NONE of this with Hearn. Other than Quigg/Frampton, I can't recall a fight he's made which made me think "God he nailed it there".

For all these numbers, I genuinely believe he'll be No.2 to Wazza in terms of memorable nights & really putting together the key fights.

AJ won't break a sweat, let alone learn anything in this one. That's nailed on.

    It's a pointless fight.
Even Dillian Whyte v AJ again would make more sense, since a lot of fans thought Whyte gave AJ his toughest/best fight and it is true that Whyte had an injured shoulder.

Molina was KO'd in 1 round by Ashanti Jordan in his pro debut, and KO'd in 1 round by Chris Arreola a few years ago.
    Don't be surprised if he's KO'd in 1 round.

Man didn't Anthony Femi Wilder already fight this bum??? How many bum defenses has he had now before facing a mandatory??

It seems to get a shot these days you have to be not quite there.... Otherwise you may just win one....

On a more serious note it will be interesting to see how AJ handles Molina (who I think has a bit more time to prepare than against Wilder).

@OP not it isn't really PPV worthy as Molina isn't a star, he is more like the Washington Wizards who is brought in to make "the Star" look good for the casuals..

Hearns should be taking the hit on this one and going through non ppv. The biggest problem is putting joshua on ppv too soon. Its allright saying his fights need to be on ppv because him and the opponent need paying well. But joshua fights can make up to as much as 15 million in revenue. All the big sponsers want involved in him.

They ve all made good money off the the last few ppvs. Its just getting greedy now. Take the hit you ll make it back 5 times over with the klitchko fight. And probably 50 times over if joshuas as good as he believes.

You ve got to look at the fight and think a couple of rounds blowout for joshua. Thats most sensible peoples opinions anyway. I get a feeling tho...that molinas gonna bring a bit more to the table. Breazeale and martin had absolutely nothing to cause joshua problems offensively. But molina can actually punch and quite hard tbf. He had arreola hurt in that one round defeat and done the same thing with wilder. I ll tell you one thing i dont think breazeale or martin could do it. They just dont punch hard enough on the world scene.

I think they ve flattered joshua to an extent. I ve only seen two guys go for joshua...one was cornish who was quickly dealt with the other was whyte. Who did have an offence and caused big problems. And nothing since points to whyte being a world beater.

I see the david price effect with joshua atm. Hes five times better than price ever was but its the same sort of thing. People thinking joshuas gonna treat klitchko, haye, ortiz, wilder, parker how he treated gary cornish for example. A lot of the top guys are a lot more durable than charles martin.

Well, look at it this way. Wilder gets a ton of ****(much of it deserved) for his defenses. At least Wilder won his belt against someone most considered a top 5 hw. Martin was arguably the weakest, least proven major hw belt holder of all time and at best a fringe top 10 hw. Afterward he'll have made two straight defenses against hw's at best fringe top 20. Wilders were better than that. Honestly, he's getting less **** than Wilder got for facing lesser fighters

Joshua had boxed exactly half the number of fights Wilder had by the time both picked up a world title. Who was Deontay facing in his 16th bout? Answer: Reggie Pena whose current record reads: Won 6 (one KO) lost 10 (KO'd 8 times)

Thats the mistake they made with joshua picking up a title too early in his career. Caused all the problems hes now facing.

Agreed. But I think it was opportunistic. They saw Martin with a title and knew they could take it from him, no sweat. Hard to turn down a 'world title' when it's so easily acquired. Now they have to navigate 2017 without losing the belt or credibility, which is a tricky balancing act...

Spot on mate. You ve kind of got to take the chance with martin holding the belt...just then makes fighting guys like molina on ppv disgraceful. Should have left martin alone tho. No need to pay him millions to get him across making it ppv. Should have had about 3 or 4 other fights non ppv...before moving to the ppv format. People less likely to complain of paying twenty quid if they ve watched a lot of the guys career. Plus gives more time to build a fanbase. Atm its just building resentment. Instead of people saying we ve got the next big great heavyweight. Cheering him on. People are now starting to turn on joshua and hearn. Same thing kind of happened to haye. People started to turn after harrison.
