I heard Kell Brook was so feared that only the brave Canadian fighters like Jo Jo Dan & Kevin Bizier would dare fight him. When Eubank didn't take the GGG fight only the most feared welterweight of all time Brook stepped up to the plate to fight big bad GGG, all they had to do was switch the names on the contract and we had the biggest fight between the 2 most feared men in the sport of boxing.
I seem to remember there being some truth to Roy not wanting to fight Collins, imo Roy would of whipped him silly. Calz wanted nothing to do with Roy until the time was right, Calz woulda got whipped too.
It's unusual to see a fighter as universally ducked as Golovkin, but it's a combination of too many belts, the Al Haymon risk/reward strategy that's swept boxing, a general lack of boxing talent in this era, and Golovkin being such a dominant fighter. There is no mystery to it if you get off your brains and think about it a little bit.
Nahh , Lacy would have never been an ATG even if Calzaghe never gotten to him. He had always been overrated from the very beginning. Calzaghe vs Lacy was truly " The battle of the overrated"
