Has Anyone Done the Math on the $10m offer?

Without doubt,BJS has found in himself in a great spot,tell you what I'd never realised though about that supposed pointless Liam Smith fight with Canelo,had no idea at the time that even though at 154 that WBO belt would give him clout in getting the Saunders belt/fight,Oscar knows a thing or two?

 

I can understand that but it seems like he has no other option. If he accepted the offer at least he would have a date certain at which the fight will take place. Now he has nothing. I don't like Alvarez but it seems like Golovkin is being unreasonable also. Those days of thirty million dollar paydays are gone. Even for Alvarez.

 

WBO or no WBO if they both sign the contracts the purses will still be the same. The inclusion of the WBO strap making the fight for all the marbles would only increase PPV sales thus putting more millions in the pockets of both fighters. What happens if GGG loses next year, and now the offer on the table is less?

 

He has the option to accept or decline Golden Boys offer and he declined it. If Golden Boy and Canelo really want the fight they will offer GGG something acceptable.

 

That's part of boxing. Fights are negotiated on the assumption that the favorite fighter wins their next bout. But really that's a double edged question. What happens if the fight is signed and one of the fighters loses before the fall 2017 date? Purses are set in stone and now the fight PPV sales are in jeopardy.

I was devod when I read that and as much as a fan I am of GGG he's no different than anyone in wanting a huge payday,Manny and Canelo wouldn't be fair never mind GGG who I'd be amazed if could make 154,honestly I wouldn't care if they hadn't trashed Canelo for Khan but from what Sanchez just said their he's made GGG look terrible and so hypocritical.

I'm not so sure.. This is a fight the public wants to see regardless, but like I said if GGG loses he'd be kicking himself in his rear for not taking the 10 mill. He should spin the wheel and make the deal!

 

GGG beats everyone at 160. The order he takes them out in doesn't make an once of difference. Canelo can book his place when he puts an acceptable offer on the table.

The date proposed was for Sept. 2017, 10 months away. Come January the fight will be 8 months away, and the in March 6 months and so on, at what point will Ggg feel its close enough to actually sign for the fight?

What do you think the fight is worth? Total amount?

Once you have come up with a number, compare that number to $10m and you will see #10m is only crumbs by comparison.
