I must add he's substancially different to Tyson too. Louis possibly has the best punching technique in history. His arsenal is insane.

He's not at all similar to either but the answer to the thread question is Tyson, obviously.

Neither ,Joe Parker fights alot like him though . The limited stepping and use of the measuring with jabs also posture and tight head to body combinations while still remaining in a sideway like stance.

I would say Thad Spencer and surprisingly Michael Moorer remind me most of Joe Louis in his punching from the stance without much pull back.

..But Of course there was only one Joe Louis.

Tyson, because of his accuracy of punches and the versatility of combinations.
Moreover, both were superb body punchers.

I think you guys are right. He's completely unique, but if you have to choose either or, I would choose Tyson.

I think Marciano is closer to Foreman than Tyson. Not as a fighter, but as a puncher.

Yeah, very similar styles! Both rarely wasted punches.

Not similar to either but more similar to Foreman. Louis was a hard puncher who was above average height for his division. That description fits Foreman but not Tyson. That's about as much as any of them have in common.
