Who will be the new Face of Boxing ?

Definitely won't be spence, not sure why people are saying him.
Spence is the same age as Canelo, I don't think spence could sell out a 5,000 seater could he? He will only become the new face in 5 years or something. He also has the personality and charisma of a bag of washing.

Anthony Joshua or Canelo are more likely, I think anyone with an understanding of economics can see that.

AJ: If he beats Klitschko next Spring, he will become a massive star. Then he can start moving into the states.
Canelo: If he beats GGG (when he beats GGG) he will be a big star in the states.

I think we could have two very big stars, Canelo and Anthony Joshua. Realistically, no-one else will become the new face. In 3 years boxing could be back where it belongs.

GGG is too old to become the new face of boxing.

Michael Conlan could do it, he's irish and irish are really good fans - no matter what sport.

Vasyl Lomachenko is great too, he's still very young.

My Picks: Anthony Joshua and Canelo will be huge stars in 2-3 years time.

 

The age of americans being the face of boxing is over for a while.

 

As long as Anthony Joshua proves to be the real deal skill wise, the sky is the limit. Also think Spence has big potential.

 

Hopefully someone with personality & charisma. Which rules out Joshua.

I think who ever comes out as the dominant HW will be a good shout Wilder/Joshua outside of that right now only Alvarez comes to mind realistically 17" could see Cotto II in Jan/Feb, Saunders in May, and GGG in Sept and very likely he goes 3-0 nobody else is really doing that.

I agree right now the sport is in a flux starving for a new superstar, Alvarez has a head start on everyone else but things change fast in sports so. it will take more than just one win to solidify that spot as well. someone has to go on a run that captures the sport and the audience as well.

But Canelo is right there, he just needs to beat GGG and he's no 1
