Ustinov Expects He Will Face Haye or Charr For WBA Interim title

    After speaking with the WBA, Alexander Ustinov's manager Vladimir Hyrunov, expects an interim title fight for Ustinov against either Davis Haye or Manual Charr.

    "Alexander Ustinov has reserved the right with the WBA to hold a championship fight, said Hryunov.

    "And I think that in the next two weeks a contract will be signed with one of the boxers holding a high position in the rankings. This fight will be for the WBA's interim championship. And there will be negotiations with the two most likely opponents, who are both known boxers... David Haye and German Manuel Charr."

    "Wladimir Klitschko used his exclusive right to hold a unification bout and WBA therefore only allows him to meet with Joshua, instead of Alexander. If the selected opponent for Ustinov will be Haye, then the fight will take place in England. And if the opponent will be Charr, then it happens in Germany."

    He'd be a good opponent for Haye to get some rounds in, he probably beats Charr at this point though.

    This talk of Charr being the new WBA interim champ remains unconfirmed from what I can see. Though he may land a fight to contest it.

    Beats Charr easy. If it's Haye... Expect a mirror image of the Valuev fight. Will be a completely awful fight to watch.

    So ortiz has been stripped of the WBA interim belt? When did that happen (I've been trying to search for this ).

    So within the next few months or so we're going to have THREE WBA titles on the line
    The WBA "interim" title
    The WBA "regular" title
    and the WBA "super" title
    what a mess.

    Ustinov has much better movement and actually punches with conviction, he'll have to be careful. Agreed, he'd obliterates Charr

    Still have not seem reputable confirmation that Charr is the new WBA Interim champion.

    I suspected from the outset it was a case of the blind leading the blind.

    More likely the WBA Interim title is vacant and the likes of Charr, Haye and Usinov are in the running to contest it.

    I really hope that the WBA screwes Ustinov over, which in turn will give Vladimir Hyrunov a chance to take legal action.
    Hyrunov can **** some **** up if he so pleases.
