Tough one, there's probably 4 people on that list who I think are good enough to win a belt

Working with Jorge Rubio is a masterstroke from him though, perfect trainer for the type of fighter he is.
Was very impressive facing a tough test in Derry Matthews, and against Mendez too.
Mendy was a slip up that I don't think he'll be making again, not to excuse the performance but he almost pulled out of the fight for personal and family reasons.

 

Surprised Haye has got some votes. He's fought no one and his current self looks nothing like he was in his prime.
I've gone for Groves as he's already beat one belt holder and if he's matched well enough should get over the line and win one.
Callum Smith has blasted through domestic and fringe level guys with ease so i think there will be more to come from him
Luke Campbell has the skills if he can get back on track and Derry win was a good yardstick on that he should be competitive if nothing else.


Khan is pretty much finished for me at world level. Took the gamble against canelo that anyone with a brain could see wasn't going to come off and has avoided Brook for years. I cant see him rematching Garcia which is a fight i thought he would have won for many years so can't see what he's going to do next - he seems to do loads of flying about doing charity stuff

On pure ability you still have to say Khan, even though I doubt he will ever get another title.

I think Groves is ridiculously talented but he's always fallen short of a world title. He's still more than good enough and young enough to win one though.

Eubank Jnr is a better middleweight than the likes of Lemieux and Jacobs who had their hands on belts recently. But he is not going to win a 160 strap until GGG moves on.

The likes of Crolla, Quigg, Warrington are totalled committed hard-working fighters but they lack true top class ability for me. Even though Crolla was a champ I still don't think he's top class.

I have doubts about Callum Smith, I think he's being hyped way too much and has not looked good in his last few fights.

 

As talented as Groves is, he just doesn't have the chin for world level. I think this combined with his stamina/mental issues will prevent him from winning a world title unless he he fights for some vacant belt vs some can.
