Foreman by KO.I think Forman catches him at a certain point.Byrd did not use his legs a lot but primarely upper body movement.

Byrd is smart. He'll use his legs.

I just see how easily Tommy Morrison made it look.

Byrd would never have picked up a title in the 90's. He fought in a dark age for HW boxing. Who did he beat that Foreman wouldn't have beaten in more impressive fashion?

Foreman was like Wlad and Ike combined together and Byrd was shut completely out by those two guys .

At 50 in 1997 Foreman had no trouble finding a quicker , faster, harder punching prime Briggs and got robbed of the victory . Byrd couldn't keep a shot zombie like Golota off him and clearly lost.

88-93 Foreman destroys Byrd. Any version after that wins a wide UD.

Coatzer had better legs than Byrd. He sustained a career ending battering.

Better legs...how so? Why even bring up Coetzer in this thread? Pierre was a stationary target with legs.

Because he moved around the ring better and faster than Byrd.

Some second rate Roy Jones type posturing won't help him against Foreman. He found that out the hard way against Ike.

    Holyfield

    No, he really wasn't

Comparing Briggs and Byrd is kinda weird, dude.

Byrd would have little trouble boxing circles around an Old Foreman who would have to land something monstrous against a slick boxer, equating to Foreman's stylistic nightmare.

Now you're comparing a huge, young heavyweight in Ike to an old, slower clubber like Foreman. Prime Foreman would walk Byrd down after having some difficulty. Old Foreman would pace himself and ship potshots from the superior boxer. Target practice, albeit a dangerous target.

Why the doubt? Morrison and others did it. Byrd couldn't?

Look what James Toney did to the same Holyfield. Does he beat Foreman too:facepalm:
92 Foreman easily beat the Holyfield Byrd fought. That Holy was one of the worst that entered the ring. Even the version against Valeuv was better.

He couldn't get past Wlads Jab . He isn't getting past Foreman better harder jab.

No. You said Byrd would use his legs. Briggs used his legs against the worst oldest Foreman that ever fought and LOST.

Byrd never danced circles around any one. Your version of Burd does not exist

Morrison kept George at bay with a powerful combinations. Duke landed hooks that would put most into a coma.
Byrd has nothing to prevent Foreman from walking straight through him. Byrd's slaps wouldn't knock a breath out of Foreman.

Doubt Byrd would be effective doing it. morrison had some power to keep Foreman honest.

Bryd fought off the ropes way too much. That would cost him here. Foreman wouldn't have to expend too much energy chasing him. Foreman would dig the body and wear Byrd down for a mid rounds tko.

Moorer should never have picked up a title in the 90s, and neither should Foreman.

Byrd would be in the same position, but he could still get lucky, as they basically did.
He was nowhere near either of these guys, at this stage of his career.

He was basically an old man who still had his power.
